In our experience (15+ CAS cruises), the CAS desk is at one end, often next to the special needs  (wheelchair/ accessible) counter.

The check-in associate has no special access to casino hosts/programming, (s)he is simply assigned to that desk for embarkation.  If there are no CAS guests in line, that agent will assist the special needs line and/or the regular queue.

I assume that is just for check in then, there is no priority boarding/how would they know you're a CAS guest unless they gave you something at check in?

Yes.  Ask the desk when checking in.  There will be people standing in a huge line waiting to get access to board, even though it's not their turn,  Go to the front of the line, show them your priority boarding, and away you go.  Should be boarding right after Haven and top tier NCL members.  Why people stand in line to get on the ship when they aren't called is beyond me.

Thank you! I'm assuming you get something when checking in then that says you have booked with CAS in order to show them?

  3. Has anyone stayed in one of the OV rooms on the very front of the BA? Curious what that is like.

We were in one on the Getaway on deck 12 I think and are in one on the escape in a few days. The window is a pretty good size, but it's slanted and there is a sitting area in front of it. Other than that, it's a normal Oceanview room with a picture window.

  4. I know people LOOOOVE Cagney's, but if there's one thing we're spoiled by here in Omaha, it's good steakhouses. If you're ever in Omaha, head to The Drover and thank me later. This porterhouse was good, but couldn't crack the Top 10 of steaks I've had. Stacy was very complimentary of her filet though.

    Enjoying your review!

I really enjoy Cagney's, but after living in Omaha for a while and going to The Drover quite a few times, I can vouch for their steaks as being probably the best steak I've ever had!

  5. I've been trying to decide between the two. I've never done either. Which would you recommend the most?

Wave Runners! When we did them last year, they had a guide in the front and in the back and the guide in the front went fast and the one in the back stayed behind the slowest person. We were able to go full throttle and stay just behind the guide in the front, it was a blast on the calm waters between a couple of the islands. They also stop you at a sand bar where you can jump off and pickup a couple of star fish to hold and take pictures, just an added bonus!

  6. We are considering an NCL cruise over New Year's.

Does the MDR or specialty restaurants have special menus for NYE and/or New Year's day?

I presume regular menus the rest of the time.

    Thanks,

    Brad

We sailed NYE 2013/NYD 2014 on the Pearl and there didnt seem to be anything special in the dining rooms. They did have a champaign toast and party with NYE hats, noise makers and a count down out on the pool deck.

  7. Can you recommend things to do in each port?

If you're up for it, Sting Ray City via wave runners was a lot of fun with Ebanks watersports, look them up, its a lot of fun! We liked it so much the first time, we're doing it again in a couple weeks.

Peat Taylor Tours in Ocho Rios, they can create a tour for basically anything in Jamaica.

By the way, when are you sailing? If you haven't joined a roll call yet on here, you should!

  8. You're really getting off topic..

The point being is I highly doubt anyone would be foolish enough to buy a $250 cruise cert from someone who they've never met for $250, knowing that he had only spent $150 for it (except maybe you of course). Especially when #1, these future cruise certificates have sold on CC and ebay for $100-$150 in the past and #2 the seller made an error and mistakenly bought more than he could use and I'm sure would be happy to sell them for around what they cost him (in which case everyone wins).

You say that they don't lose their $250 value, that is false.

Are you are the OP trying to get $250 for your cruise certificates that only cost you $150?
