  1. I would suggest Sonny Binns. We did his tour last week and loved it so much, we are doing it again next month. We are in our sixties and seventies.

Thanks. This is exactly what we did! We LOVED it too! It was perfect for our crowd. We would recommend it to anyone!

  2. We are sailing on the breeze from Miami next month with my in laws. He will have wheel chair assist boarding and has a handicap parking placard. We plan to park at the port. How does that work? Will we drop luggage off first? Are there handicap parking spots at the port? How far are they from check in? We couldn't drop my in laws off. We will need to stay with them (or at least 1 of us). Should we just park in handicap area and all walk over? Father in law can walk short distances (maybe 5 minute walk). Or should I try to come up with a plan to drop him off closer with one of us to wait for the rest of us?

  3. Thanks! Hopefully there will be one on board. We would appreciate it, but it would win big points with my in laws who will be with us and on their first cruise. We will certainly use masstimes.org to find a mass the day we disembark. We are doing the 8 night Breeze cruise though, so we board on Saturday morning and don't disembark until the following Sunday. We won't be able to do mass in port that first weekend.

  4. We booked a cruise for May a few weeks ago. We booked too late to have the option of booking early saver. We have an inside cabin. There is a sale going on now where a balcony cabin is basically the same price we paid for an interior. Is there any way for us to upgrade? A call to the general Carnival number gets me the answer that no. We can't upgrade or in any way take advantage of the current rates because we are "in penalty" which apparently means that it is too close to the date of our cruise. Any other way to be able to take advantage of this sale?

  5. True. I am sorry. I guess I just got carried away posting on all of our ports. It is really our other ports where I need input. Grand turk will be s beach day for us. We may rent a cabana for my father in law to cool off. I am not sure whether the walk from the beach to the villa would be a lot closer than back to the ship to cool off? We are in port 7am-2pm. I don't know how early he will feel up to getting off of the ship. It may not leave much time to use the cabana.

  6. I will be visiting in May with my husband, two daughters (ages 4 and 7), and my in laws (early 70s with slight mobility issues). I am looking for some gentle shore excursions we could do with our group. We won't be looking for the party bus or anything of that sort, but a nice boat tour or bus tour would be great. Even a snorkel trip that would allow the girls would work as my in laws could enjoy the boat ride and watching the kids snorkel. Do you have any suggestions for me?

    Thanks!

  10. We have 4 adults and 2 kids in our group. Was considering renting a cabana for my father in law who is sensitive to heat. It says there is a max of 4 people. What does that mean? Are there arm bands involved and only 4 are near the cabana or just that it is more comfortable for 4 or less people?

  11. We will be cruising on the Freedom of the Seas Eastern Caribbean in a couple weeks. My 6 year old really got a kick out of the parade of chef's that she saw in the Samantha Brown show aboard the Freedom. Do they still do that? Which night is it? We plan to do a mix of the MDR and other places and I don't want her to miss the parade of chefs.

  12. We are considering taking Bernard's tour. My 6 year old's top objective is to have a pastry at the bakery in Marigot. Bernard's website shows Marigot as a 30 minute stop. Is there time to get a pastry or not really?

Is there a better alternative for us? We are 4 people (2 kids - 3 and 6). We want some time to explore in Marigot, a little sightseeing, and a beautiful beach. Pretty sure my girls will be terrified by Maho as we have issues with loud noises.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?
