  1. You may use the Lido, the returning Mainers can use the main dinning room.

There is a window of time that the dinning room will be open.

All the Carnival Corporation computers talk to each other. There are no secrets among the lines. :D

Seriously, if you check with the Mariner Society, you will probably find that you already have a Mariner number, and it was derived from your Carnival history.

Thanks. I figured it was something like the computers taking to each other but it is nice to know. BTW, you're right .. we do have a Mariner's number for our Nov. cruise.

  2. I was on the Valor week before last and it may have been out of the norm but the balcony door actually stayed opened on it's on. I just had to push it all of the way open and it remained opened. Unsure if someone with knowledge of the doors did this or what but it was nice.

I'm hoping we'll see the same on the Liberty in May.

  3. What do you use to prop open the balcony door?

We use a bungee cord .. it works well. You can pick them up at the dollar store.

BTW, we've never had a problem with insects flying in or anything else.

Our stewards have never said anything about us having the door open.

Sleeping with the door open is one of the reasons we pay the extra for a balcony cabin. :)

  4. I honestly have no need for internet while I am on a vacation. Unless I have children at home (and I don't) or a sick family member, There is no need for me to connect with facebook, email, ect. I am on a vacation. I will catch up with all that when I get home.

I own a small, internet based business and it is vital that I have the ability to check on things when I am away .. vacation or not ;)
