I’m interested in that as i am going solo. You are able to sign up as a solo so i assumed its fine. Maybe i should phone.

I did the sushi class solo on the Anthem this past January.  They sat me at a table with 7 other people. Each person got their own ingredients and made their own sushi.  On the Anthem they gave us to go containers to take the sushi with us if we wanted to so I took it to share with my husband.  I wouldn't hesitate to do the class solo.

No problem. Good Luck. I hope that everything turns out good for you. I will be back on the phone on Monday or Tuesday to check on the status and fingers crossed

I called the crown & anchor number today to have them check my account and was told that they show no balance due.  Fingers crossed that I'm all set but you never know with Royal's IT.  Good luck getting your problem resolved.

  3. After cancelling and rebooking cruise planner items I also noticed that the pay balance due button on my cruise planner is lit up but when I click on it I'm told that no balance is due.  I assumed I was all set but I guess I should call since we seem to be having similar problems with our cruise planners like not being able to cancel the refreshment package.  Thanks for the heads up.

  4. Wondering if anyone else is having this problem.  I was able to cancel dining reservations and internet packages to rebook at the sale price but have been unable to cancel our refreshment package.  I called the Crown & Anchor number and the service rep I spoke with was also unable to cancel.  I was told that it was a problem with the refreshment package and I should just try again later.  I know there were major issues yesterday but it seems odd that I'm able to cancel other purchases but not the refreshment package.

  5. Hello

My 1st time using this. I am very confused what to book. It is a short trip. I want the most beautiful beach, don't care about swimming with dolphins but have an 11 yr old girl and a 6 yr old boy both very active. Also have my 80 yr old father in law(whose more like 60)...so want to have something for all to do. Blue Laggoon sounds great but a little short. i was leaning towards Pearl until I read it was not ready for visitors. Any and all details about each island would be helpful. I like that Balmoral is 5.5 hours long but my kids are so spoiled and swam with the dolphins so many times, its not even special to them anymore. However, if its right in there faces..of course they will want to do it. HELP PLEASE!! Thank you

I ended up booking the Pearl Island excursion for my March 5th cruise. I'm not sure when you're going but I'll report back after my trip to let you know how Pearl Island was.

  6. I've been on three cruises before that were supposed to stop at Coco Cay but didn't due to weather. I've been look forward to finally stopping there in march but became a little concerned when I realized two ships were there the same day, Anthem and Majesty. From what I've read Anthem has a passenger capacity of 4,108 and Majesty carries 2,350. That seems like an awful lot of people on a small island.

  7. First of all you should consider taking the train from Newark instead of New York. It leaves earlier, but you are less likely to run into traffic issues between Cape Liberty and Newark on a Sunday morning.

I actually seriously considered taking the train back to Boston from the Anthem on Feb 19, but ultimately decided against it and decided to drive. Based on my experience with Cape Liberty I knew that I could make the train if the ship arrived on time and the weather was good, but I also knew that if the ship was delayed or there was a snow event, I would have problems. Last year I arrived back in snow, my train was cancelled, and by the time I arrived in Boston on the next train, it was too late to be able to safely make it to my house that evening.

I don't think anyone on this board is going to tell you it's just fine to book a train or plane before noon. If you're willing to risk it, my advice would be:

    1) self disembarkation is a must - off the ship as soon as possible for a pickup no later than 8:30.

    2) have your printed ticket in hand

    3) investigate your Amtrak options re the ability to reschedule the train. Could you book the later train and change it to an earlier train the same day without penalty?

    4) buy trip insurance that will cover a trip delay due to weather or late arrival.

My insurance allowed $150 for my trip delay, which covered my last minute Hotwire Boston hotel and food.

Thanks for the advice Carol. I'm just exploring my transportation options and wanted to check if that was a possibility.
