  1. Yes, just had an inside cabin bumped up to a sheltered balcony for $5 more than the minimum bid. Our May 23 crossing appears to have plenty of room, as prices have dropped greatly since earlier this year.

  2. Just got word from Cunard that

“The scheduled guest speaker for your voyage is Mr. Scott Walker, hostage negotiator, author and coach.  Any other speakers will be listed in the Daily Program that is delivered to your stateroom.”

Hostage negotiator?!! Well, perhaps I’ll learn how to play Bridge on this trip.

  3. Hello all,

Traveling solo on this crossing, and it'll be my first time on a transatlantic ship. Looking forward to my first transatlantic trip without jet lag. Would love to meet up with others on the same itinerary. Hoping to join other LGBTQ+ folks at dinner, etc.

After growing up with horror stories from Mum about her Ireland - US crossing in the 1950s, I am both looking forward to it and slightly dreading the possibility of seasickness. But all in all, delighted to have given myself this gift.😊

    Take care,

    Ray

Yes, booked this through a travel agent and while he received a confirmation that he forwarded, the conf no. isn't recognised by the system yet.

It took a while, but now am able to sign in.

Usually you need to wait until Cunard have a chance to process your booking and send you a confirmation*. Might take minutes or a day or two. Keep trying. The system seems to be currently working. I've just had confirmation that they've accepted my upgrade bid so I've been able to log in and see which cabin I've been allocated!

*I've noticed that I don't receive a direct booking confirmation from Cunard when I've booked  through a travel agent which I personally find annoying.

    I'm getting in ok.

Are you getting this screen with booking#, first name, last name, and date of birth?

In the past there has been an odd incident where Cunard have had a wrong D.O.B.

Yes, and getting an error message regarding the confirmation number, which is correct. It's probably just not in the system yet, as mentioned below. Thanks!

  7. Hi all,

We're looking forward to sailing from Hong Kong on the Millennium in a few weeks. It'll be our first lengthy cruise!

Here's my question: I'm an executive coach and would love to provide a workshop on how to ensure you achieve your New Year's resolutions!

What does one do to schedule a workshop (as a passenger) and get on the daily schedule? Is this even possible? Please advise.

    Thanks,

    Ray

  8. Hi!

We are newbie cruisers, looking forward to our March Asia cruise on the Celebrity Millennium. My partner wonders whether he will be able to work somewhat while we are onboard the ship. I understand that internet or wifi charges are unreasonable enough to make onboard work difficult. What can you experienced Celebrity cruisers tell me about wifi or wired internet onboard?

    Many thanks,

    Ray
