I noticed today that my check in time going out of Norfolk was the first time available being 12:00-12:30 but my boarding time on the cruise contract shows 1:30-4:00. Since Norfolk doesn't offer FTTF I made sure to grab the earliest time for staggered checkin with hopes of boarding right away. Why is there such a difference?

Noticed there was a sale this weekend so I called out travel agent and asked ...never expected this much back but I'm quite tickled with myself

On the room with four we got back $640 waiting to hear back in the double room as they were checking into something...but looks to be close to $1200 total

I was raised that you never know until you ask and the worst that can happen is someone says no. Much to my surprise no one said no. Let me back up...So I noticed there was a sale posted on Carnivals website and called my travel agent to see if we could get an adjustment or an upgrade. They offered us two nicer rooms but since hub and I are in one cabin and our two teenage girls are in the adjoining cabin with two of their friends we didn't want to split up the rooms. So now we are sitting a pretty hefty onboard credit that we could never possibly use up. We both socially drink and will enjoy ourselves on the trip but we aren't huge drinkers and we do have our littles with us so the cheers program would be a waste on us. I will take advantage of the spa but that will still only make a small dent in the credit. I feel like somewhere I read that you could go to the casino and cash out some of your onboard credit. Is this true and if so can someone please school me? B thanks in advance!

Many pax walk around with insulated cups/tumblers/bubba kegs. Who's to say what's inside ;)

This was my train of thought as well. Thanks everyone!

So the last time we were at Atlantis we wanted to wander down to the beach and we ended up on what seemed more like a public beach. There were tons of locals walking up and down the beach trying to sell things. Some of them were polite when you said no but others were a bit more pushy. We felt uncomfortable leaving our items in the beach to get in the water so I ended up sitting alone in the beach while hub took the kids in the water. Is there a beach that's open to only Atlantis day guest?

Cruising on the Carnival Sunshine in June and am curious about the Bon Voyage options. So we aren't huge drinkers but we do enjoy a few beverages while cruising. We are also not ones to try and smuggle liquor onboard either so we are considering purchasing a bottle of Captain Morgan's to be delivered to the room. After running the numbers this is significantly more cost effective than the Cheers package. If you purchase through the ship are you then allowed to make drinks while siting by the pool?

Now I'm not talking about tooling around the ship carrying a liter of liquor rather filling a small container with a couple shots so if we finish a drink we can make another without going back to the room. Again we are not huge drinkers so we are not the couple who will be boozing it up and acting like fools so of course a certain level of discretion and decorum would be used. When you purchase through the ship is it meant to only be let in the room?

Cannot remember how much they cost but yes they do have them. We used them the last time we were there. When you walk into the waterpark area go to the right and they are in a covered area with bathrooms and such. They may have others elsewhere but these were the ones we used.

Loved your review! We sail away on her in 26 days and cannot wait to get onboard. I noticed you mentioned a Facebook page several times. I have searched several times but have not had luck finding one for the Sunshine. Can you point me in the right direction?

We take dry erase markers to leave each other notes on the mirrors. I also love having a small desktop size fan on the nightstand simply to circulate the air
