Yes, we got a call from the upgrade fairy yesterday. We are cruising on the Breeze for Thanksgiving. We had a balcony and we were offered a Grand Suite for an extra $198/each. Its just my wife and I so it was almost $400 total for a grand suite. We thought about getting the grand suite when we booked but it was going to be an extra $2,000 so when we got a call to do it for $400, we jumped on it. 

We were in aft balcony cabin number 8477 on the breeze in 2016. We will never get the aft balcony again. There was too much black soot on the whole balcony. You couldn’t sit on any of the chairs on the balcony without the black soot rubbing off onto your clothes.

They will usually let you know the night before. There will be an invitation waiting for you in your room one night after dinner and it will tell you when the chefs table is.

Be sure to bring an empty stomach, your in for a lot of food and free wine. Not to mention just the bread that is so good you will want to fill up on just bread.

I have seen other quests with their own home made walking sticks on board several times

We will also be there on sept 14, 2016. We will be on the carnival breeze and are in the same situation, we aren't sure about what we want to do. We are considering finding a beach, but aren't sure which beach to go to, or cave tubing or zip lining. If anyone has any suggestions it would be very helpful

We got it on our last cruise and we got it again on our next cruise. It is well worth the $50. I highly recommend it

We have done the Chefs Table on the Fantasy and the Freedom. I would highly recommend it. Well worth the $75/per person. Just be prepared to eat a LOT of food. The second time we did it we skipped lunch to save room for all the good food. Just make sure to get it early, either do it as soon as you walk on the ship or email someone weeks or months before your cruise
