Just returned from a Baltic sailing on the Celebrity Eclipse.
The Ship docked at the Langelinie Cruise Ship Terminal and shuttle buses (payable not free) were available.
Three different Ho-ho bus companies pick you up at this Cruise Terminal also.
And Taxis were also there

Being from the UK, could you take British pound notes (£20 or £10) and whatever Baltic Country you spend in receive the change in their currency ?.
This seemed to work well on a recent trip to Norway

Thought I'd just post these shots of the Bridge. It can be either the gateway to the fjords :) or the voyage back home :(

Those photos of Santorini bring back some wonderful memories Sarah.
I was there with my wife two years ago and we loved the place, so much history that we were unaware of before we went. Walking down the donkey trail was much easier than walking up it, we really felt sorry seeing those poor donkeys with some very large cruisers on their backs.
Looking forward to hearing more about your cruise.
When I walked up "Aussie" I thought the climb looked pretty easy, but I didn't take into account the winding path.
Looking directly from bottom to top seems a very short distance
And also you have to do a lot "Donkey dodging" going up, but I agree going back down is far more easier :)

Love Santorini it's so different compared with other Greek Islands
Bet you took tons of Photo's Sarah.
-
Just love the afternoon tea "Sen".The photo of those delicious cakes brings it all back :)

If I was on the Black sea cruise, I'd make a note of the cruise ships visiting St Petersburg earlier in the year, and see what happens there.
More than likely as Colin mentioned they will visit other Ports.
But let's hope it all settles down quickly.

Sometimes Serenity you can never get the perfect photo, . . . . . . . . . . there's always somebody getting in the way ! ;)

Like being in one of my Fav Films,
Great review so far Serenity :)
Enjoying the entertaining input from fellow CC's also.
Time for a little bit of "liberty" I think ;)

An insulated travel mug for transporting your drink to your Stateroom :)

Splendid photos Sarah, lovin it so far :)
The photo below is of a meal I had on the QE that contained snails .
It was recommended by our waiter on the guarantee that if I didn't
like it I could change it.

I hope this ghost adheres to the Cunard dress code,
or there's gonna be trouble

First time I saw this portrait of Queen Elizabeth, I just thought that the artist had painted the Queen's left hand incorrectly.
Excellent photos Sarah lot's of brown's ,gold's and yellows.
The Ship look's well clean.

It's a Great place Rome one of my favs :), but you've got to be on your guard all the time you can't just relax.
Problem is who's genuine and who's out to make a quick buck :(
Still following and enjoying your review so far :)
Btw does your mum and dad own an Ice-cream Parlour in Canada ,
-
Especially of The Sistine Chapel,
I'd love my ceiling to look like that :)
-
Exactly how many postcards are we talking about
Just realised your going on a World Cruise :)
Good choice of souvenir btw

Hi Jules , we should be Weighing Anchor pretty soon !

Found your link "eatsallinsects" :

And the lesson I've learnt from this is to make sure you Post the Cards yourself,
especially don.t leave it up to some dodgy Rio Shopkeepers
But I still think it's a Terrific idea :)
Maybe we might hear from Cape Cod Sally on all the feed-back she's getting

In addition to the other thoughtful ideas previously mentioned...
If I were on a World Cruise, I would mail a post card home to myself from every port. I think it would be fun to see how many post cards were actually delivered once I returned home, and it would be an archival memory of my voyage (speaking as an amateur philatelist).
Hey that's a Great idea Salacia :)
Great minds think alike !

I image Cunard struck the deal during the brief meeting at sea :)
-
It's Good to finish off the day with an Ice-cream
Did you purchase a special Metro ticket while in Rome Sarah.
Seems a little easier to understand than The London Underground :),
albeit the station names are a little difficult to remember
-
Excellent photos "Karate kid" and one very unusual photo. :)
Mr Miyagi would be very proud of you, well done.
Enjoying the tour so far
Loved your description of Rome being like a Cartoon (Asterix the Gaul)
-
Id take photo's of each port you visit. Post cards & DVD's of your grand voyage would be nice as well.
This gives me a good idea, every destination visited send a Postcard to yourself.
Write anything you want and when you return home you'll have Happy memories of your cruise :)
Otherwise a Key ring or pen with some connection to the place your visiting.(Not sure if this is tacky, suppose it depends on Price  )

Oh dash it, I Knew it docked well out of the City though. Thank you Mr "T" for correct port.
Hopefully "Open sea" we have answered your question :)
