I was also in fear of going on a cruise solo. I decided to try it, I booked a 13 day cruise last year and meet alot of nice people. I have also booked one for this year on the R/C Exployer of the seas Nov 1. I like to book my own room. I don't like sharing a room with someone I just met. I went to the solo travellers luncheon and met a women to sit with at dinner. We hung out for most of the cruise, it was great.

Yes, Andrew, it is good to hear about a solo cruise from another perspective. I was recently widowed in Nov. 2012. I surprised myself even thinking about going on a cruise by myself. Do's and don'ts keep popping into my head, so of course I can't make a decision. As much as I feel the need to get away, I can't get myself to go ahead with it. Madmarti:eek:
I can relate to what your going through about solo cruising. I also have the same
problem, trying to decide what to do. I have a cruise I would really like to go on in Oct out of Boston Ma, but can't get myself to do it. Hope you have better luck then I do.

I'm thinking of going on a cruise in October. I've been on many but never solo. There's a lot of great info here from those who have cruised alone before, but i'm very hesitant. I'm looking forward to reading more about it and getting to know other solo cruisers. Has anyone ever gone on the NCL Epic in a solo cabin? I'd love some feedback.
