I am wondering why I don't see sailings from Florida for next August. I am planning a family cruise and want to stay loyal to NCL, but there is an absence of choices. There are cruises from Florida next August from Royal Caribbean and Carnival. Is NCL usually later releasing late summer cruises from Florida?

Thank you for your words of wisdom! I really appreciate the input. Clearly, I have some research to do before committing to a cruise.

My husband and I are trying to decide between two cruises. Both itineraries leave from Southampton and include Edinburgh, Invergordon, Belfast, and Dublin. The 11-night cruise (Sept. 3/24) also includes Stornoway, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris. The 10-night cruise (Sept. 14/24) does not include those ports, but includes Kirkwall, Liverpool, and Portland. They are very close in price despite one being one day longer than the other.
Knowing so little about the ports, I am hoping for expert opinions about which cruise to choose. Hearing from experienced cruisers will help us in our decision.
Thank you in advance for any sharing that comes our way!

Thank you for your input. No, we haven't explored Princess, but I'm not adverse to expanding our cruising repertoire! I will check out the offerings there.

Thank you, cruisers, for your valuable input and please accept my apologies for asking about a NCL cruise here on the Celebrity boards. We have a cruise on Celebrity booked after the British Isles one and I wasn't careful when I posted.
I appreciate the opinions shared and I will have to do some of the suggested research.

As a musical theater fan and a vocal music teacher, I thoroughly enjoyed SIX! It is high energy with catchy songs and it's really funny, too! The instrumentalists are on stage, also, and are very talented. I don't need spectacular sets, but I do appreciate great voices. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I really appreciate you sharing the excursion sale! I rebooked and saved $50. Thank you!

My husband and I had a lovely, quiet, and delicious lunch in the Grand Pacific when we boarded the Gem last month. We were one of the first people seated and got a table for two right beside a window. It was the perfect beginning to a fantastic holiday.

Thanks for your responses.

I am hoping someone will have experience I can draw on. For our family cruise over New Year's Eve on the Breakaway, we intend to sign the waiver allowing our 19 year old son to drink beer and wine. Beverage packages were perks with our booking. As of now, our son is showing 'Adult Soda Package' on our cruise planner. When we fill out the waiver on-board, will we have to pay the difference between the soda package and the beer and wine package?
Thanks in advance for your response. I really don't want to sit on the phone with NCL!

Going on the Breakaway in December. My daughter loves Shirley Temples. Are they included in the soda package? Thank you!

We sailed on the Pride March 9th and the ship was late coming in due to weather. Carnival emailed guests the day before to let them know they'd be late boarding. We had FTTF and got on the ship around 3:30.
Upon our return, without weather delays, we were first off the boat and did self-assist. We pulled out of the port parking lot at exactly 10:30.

Hi turning40withMickey,
We are sailing the Pride the week of March 9 and want to do the Kennedy Space Center on our own like you did.
Which car rental company did you choose and did they shuttle you to and from the port to the agency?
I appreciate any help you can give.
Current entertainment on Equinox?
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
My husband and I were on Equinox in mid-January doing the 9 night itinerary including the ABC islands. We had a fantastic trip and enjoyed the ship and the beautiful islands very much.
As a recently retired music teacher, I consider myself rather discerning when it comes to music entertainment.
As far as headliners go, we enjoyed Marty Thomas, the Almost Elton John show, and we were very impressed by violinist David Klinkenberg. Wow, can he ever play! We thought the ship's orchestra was good.
Around the ship, we sought out a duo of violin and guitar. I forget their name, but they are very talented and listening to them in a lounge with a drink was very enjoyable.
There is another duo called Strings Attached consisting of guitar and vocals. Very talented and very nice to listen to.
The pool band was good, the ship's quartet that played often in the foyer weren't cringy.
There was one young lady singing and playing guitar who was very noticeably not up to par with the caliber of the other musical ensembles. We avoided her and actually felt sorry for her.
I hope that you have an excellent cruise and find musical entertainment that enhances your experience!
