  1. If you look at the "adventure" stores, they are having winter sales now.  Do you have a Columbia outlet near you?  We purchased our midweight baselayers from 32 Degrees, online.  We took 2 baselayer tops and 2 bottoms each along with a pair of sweatpants to wear under the waterproof pants.  We went with Viking at the beginning of December and they provided the boots and pants for us to wear along with a "puffer" jacket/waterproof jacket for us to keep.  You'll need a neck gaiter, winter hat and waterproof gloves.

  2. We just got off the Jupiter and I had made the reservations for the MDR prior to cruising. All the times that were available were 8pm. I read on cruise critic not worry about it, you can just show up and that’s true. I didn’t need any of those reservations, we just went when we were ready and there is not usually much of a line.  Enjoy your cruise!

  3. We were on the Emerald Princess June 10-17 sailing and we also were able to get to the North Sawyer Glacier. It was awesome. They tried for the South Sawyer Glacier but there was too much ice. We took the Allen Marine Catamaran tour from the ship and it is one of the best excursions we have ever done. We first went to the south Glacier then to the north. We were within quarter mile from the north Glacier-Amazing!! Saw so many whales it was unbelievable.

  4. We were on the Vista in may. We were 2 people in an inside cabin with the beds as two twins. The outlets were on the desk (1-2 USB ports too) at the foot of one of the beds. If you like to lay in bed and look at your phone (or others device) while it's charging you need a long cable (6ft). Another thing is you need to put a room key in a slot near the door to turn the lights on. We actually used my AAA card to keep the lights on while in the room and took it out of the slot when we left. 🛳

  5. We were also on the 9/7/17 Paradise sailing and agree with everything takeyourmark said. We had a great time in Cuba. Sunny and hot, just like Florida. We did leave around 1am so we missed out on another half a day as we were supposed to stay overnight. I was confident that Carnival was monitoring the storm very closely and would never put us in any danger. There were no 40 foot swells, that's for sure. Loved our 4 night turned 6 night cruise!

  6. You use the code on the card you received from Carnival to make a small luggage tag. You go into Shutterfly, make the luggage tag with any picture(s) you want on it. Then when you are checking out, you enter the code and you have your free luggage. Of course, you have to pay shipping, so it's not really "free."

  7. We will be cruising out of Ft Lauderdale in February and was wondering what everyone thinks about purchasing the FTTF for this port? We have never purchased it before, but we went out of NOLA in January and wished we would of had it. Line was so long!
