If you look at the "adventure" stores, they are having winter sales now. Do you have a Columbia outlet near you? We purchased our midweight baselayers from 32 Degrees, online. We took 2 baselayer tops and 2 bottoms each along with a pair of sweatpants to wear under the waterproof pants. We went with Viking at the beginning of December and they provided the boots and pants for us to wear along with a "puffer" jacket/waterproof jacket for us to keep. You'll need a neck gaiter, winter hat and waterproof gloves. Â

We just got off the Jupiter and I had made the reservations for the MDR prior to cruising. All the times that were available were 8pm. I read on cruise critic not worry about it, you can just show up and that’s true. I didn’t need any of those reservations, we just went when we were ready and there is not usually much of a line.  Enjoy your cruise!

Viking charges $179 for the Pulpit Rock cruise.Â

They are sold out. 😓

I’ve been on the Paradise twice with the 6pm dinner time and neither time were we able to see the ship sail under the Skyway.

Would anyone who has done the Brewers tour in Berlin this year like to comment on it? Thinking about it for next April and was wondering how your experience was. Looking to take Vikings included tour for the transportation then picking up with Brewers once we arrive.

We were on the Emerald Princess June 10-17 sailing and we also were able to get to the North Sawyer Glacier. It was awesome. They tried for the South Sawyer Glacier but there was too much ice. We took the Allen Marine Catamaran tour from the ship and it is one of the best excursions we have ever done. We first went to the south Glacier then to the north. We were within quarter mile from the north Glacier-Amazing!! Saw so many whales it was unbelievable.

Can’t figure out how to upload it. If you would like me to send it to you by email, let me know.

We were also on this cruise and made the decision to sail no matter where the ship went. It was like Marybery said, one of the best cruises ever. Less cruisers than staff.
Â
Anyway, I have a copy of the letter we got about the fcc and I will try and upload it here. I can email it to you if you would like?

Don’t know how to post a picture but if you google Viking laundry rates it takes you to the frequently asked questions. You can choose the route you will be on -European and it will give you a list of prices.

Just got off the sunshine and the seas were very rocky coming from Amber cove to Port Canaveral; especially along the coast of Florida.

We were on the Vista in may. We were 2 people in an inside cabin with the beds as two twins. The outlets were on the desk (1-2 USB ports too) at the foot of one of the beds. If you like to lay in bed and look at your phone (or others device) while it's charging you need a long cable (6ft). Another thing is you need to put a room key in a slot near the door to turn the lights on. We actually used my AAA card to keep the lights on while in the room and took it out of the slot when we left. 🛳

We were also on the 9/7/17 Paradise sailing and agree with everything takeyourmark said. We had a great time in Cuba. Sunny and hot, just like Florida. We did leave around 1am so we missed out on another half a day as we were supposed to stay overnight. I was confident that Carnival was monitoring the storm very closely and would never put us in any danger. There were no 40 foot swells, that's for sure. Loved our 4 night turned 6 night cruise!

Elc41 is correct about the cruising speed. The ship docked at Costa Maya instead of Grand Caymen and everyone received a $25 OBC.
-
My son just got off the Paradise today and they missed Grand Caymen because of this. They weren't told until the first sea day. Carnival still doesn't have it fixed!

Shadowlover-We are booked on the Viking Gfjon departing Budapest on November 3rd. Would this happen to be the same cruise you are on?
-
We did this last weekend for our November cruise. We had them ticket the flights then went to Delta's website and upgraded to economy comfort. My husband is diamond medallion so I don't know if this makes a difference. You have to have them "ticket" the flight, we asked if they would and there were no problems.

Yes, random pictures. There are several layouts for the luggage tag too.
-
You use the code on the card you received from Carnival to make a small luggage tag. You go into Shutterfly, make the luggage tag with any picture(s) you want on it. Then when you are checking out, you enter the code and you have your free luggage. Of course, you have to pay shipping, so it's not really "free."

Evandbob-What camera do you have? Awesome pictures!

Just got back from San Juan and toured the forts. It was $5 per person and included both forts.

We will be cruising out of Ft Lauderdale in February and was wondering what everyone thinks about purchasing the FTTF for this port? We have never purchased it before, but we went out of NOLA in January and wished we would of had it. Line was so long!
