Be careful trying to use it, in our case it was only good for the upcharge or higher end services not for the basic things.

I never heard of this although we are not familiar with the spa pricing structure (just that it is expensive...) So you are saying it wouldn't be applied to a basic massage for example?  Perhaps only to the products they are pushing?

if you are docked, tendered and can get off the ship, it's a port day. if it's any consolation, (although itsbeen a few years ago) i wouldnt bother to get off the ship for stirrup caye. Much ado about nothing

Thanks.  We might get off for a while but will probably spend most of the day on-board. That's why I was interested in the spa certificate.

  3. I had the same question because we had paid for priority boarding and submitted a bid for a haven stateroom.  I called NCL and they said to call and ask for it to be refunded if we get the haven stateroom.  I don't believe they will issue a refund without the phone call.

  4. I got my upgrade email as well.  The email includes small photos of the suites (mostly Haven) being offered with a "minimum $$$ pp" caption ranging from $35 to over $2000.  On the website the sliders go all the way from $0 to what appears to be the current price of the suite.  My guess is that you need to bid at least the minimum as specified in the email but I didn't bother since we are very happy with our current location and price.

  5. We have never been on NCL before (just about every other cruise line though!)  We will be on Bliss in February and would like to see Jersey Boys so trying to do a little planning...  We understand you have to make reservations - can this be done before embarkation (online/phone)?  Also, does anyone know what the show times are?  Knowing if there is one or two shows per evening and their times would help us plan our dining. Thanks!

  6. Hi Bill, Looking at your calculator - I don't see where the gratuity is factored in. Its included in the AIBP price but it isn't in the total price without package calculation which means the comparison isn't valid. The total price without package should be multiplied by 1.15 (assuming a 15% gratuity). Otherwise - a great help! We used it (with the change above) to make our decision on AIBP or not. Thanks.

  7. We went down the main access path. Spent a while at the beach and walked through the boulders to the other beach. Be prepared to get wet, crawl on hands and knees at some points so the advice about packing light is right on. There are lockers at the main beach beside the path (in front of the washrooms) - $2 each I think but we didnt use them.

  8. We had the tour driven by Baptiste last week. One of the best tours we have ever done. About 10 of us in his van although there was another van traveling with us (they had the rum punch!) $65 each plus tip. The tour was close to 7 hours but they know what they are doing and we were back with plenty of time to wander around the duty free stores at the pier before boarding.
