Thank you for posting this! Helpful as we are two cruises before you on Beyond and are still pending 🙄
If you don’t mind, which of your offers was accepted?Agreed. 7/7 sailing with my wife.
Received email about 2 months ago.
Booked in Ocean View. Given offers of $150 porthole, $200 sunset, $200 edge balcony, $200 concierge.
System would not process bids lower than $240 for sunset and $350 for concierge on the slider however. Placed bids originally at $150 and $210 only for Porthole and Edge respectively as we felt the concierge was a waste and the walk for the sunset rooms is undesirable.
3 days passed by. Both able to adjust. Adjusted both to $180 and $230.
One week passed by. Still able to adjust both. Increased to $255 about 2 weeks ago for Edge Balcony cabin. 4-5 days later changed to PENDING at $255 Edge pp and $180 EXPIRED for Porthole Verandah.
Currently STILL pending. No credit card charge.

Would love to know the updates on the capability of doing excursions on our own for an August 7th Edge sailing.
We attempted to book our favorite place in Costa Maya and were told that as of now, that port is cruise-sponsored only.
Anyone know about Cozumel, Roatan, and/or Nassau?
TIA!!!

Just a guess, but since you're cruising Hubbard Glacier on the second day, N-2 is more likely than a port night, and N-6 is rather common. since everyone is packing on N-7.
Thats what I was thinking!! Thanks 🙂

Hey everyone!
Only planning on going to the MDR on Chic nights on our Southern Glacier Cruise on June 14 on the Millenium.
Does anyone know the Chic nights on this itinerary? Night 2 and Night 6?
Thanks in advance!!!!!!

Hi there!
Travelling on the Milli 6/14. Anyone know who the Captain and CD will be in that transition to the Alaska season?
Thanks in advance!

So it is the last day of our 5 night cruise. Some updates.
1. Food is certainly limited and being served is frustrating. An example being loyalty lounges do not have anything self serve or appetizers. If you booked a suite I'd fight for some money back.
2. The cruise has been a good time. Our weather has been a 10/10 and the workers have been slaving to make everything as best as possible. The ship is definitely showing some wear but don't mistake that for their cleanliness.
3. No one is hiding Noro happened. The captain acknowledged it the first day. Any during games like Quest of Love and Marriage they make jokes and wipe down the microphone with Purell between contestants. The washy washy jokes are in excess.
4. CD Marc must have been sick. I heard about how great he was and how he is moving to Harmony then Symphony but he barely made announcements the first three days but since yesterday has been around and apparent and hosting Love and Marriage. The AM Marc did host Quest.
5. There are still some red flags. Numerous crew said that the Norovirus protocol would have been lifted Day 3 and we would be back to normal yesterday. Today there have been some enchanted precautions. The arcade has been shut down, the protocol has not been lifted, and they are even sanitizing pens before giving them to sign checks at the bar (the arcade and bar protocol are NEW and have not happened all week). So I'm to assume some people still got sick but certainly NOTHING like last week. If you are coming on the 9-night I'd still be cautious and expect Norovirus protocol.

What about Cafe Promenade and Sorrento's?
There is no food anywhere. The food is limited at these places. Some regular items they continually saying "we will be getting onboard soon". A good example of this is how my Mom asked for a salad today at Sorrentos which they normally have and the response was "we can get that for you in about 45 minutes". Everyone is hungry. There is just no snacks anywhere

On Indy. Some aft elevators shut down. Reports of guest vomiting in them.
-
For those curious what they are injection, I would assume it is Zofran (ondansetron) an anti-nausea medicine. The IM injections work well for people with Noro

Seems like there is a major problem going on. "Most" passengers sick. Vomit covering elevators, things shut down, etc.

We are scheduled on the next sailing. Worried sick just thinking about it. Any advice?
I was nervous about it too...but if you go to the CDC website and see the Norovirus outbreaks on cruise ships in their directory, you will notice that almost 100% of the time the outbreaks never span more than one sailing. Let's just be thankful for that extra cleaning they will be doing throughout Saturday and that we are not experiencing what those are onboard right now.
My family was just discussing many of the tricks discussed in this post. We know that menus for example can be a big problem, so we are going to go ahead and print out the MDR, Chops, and Giovannis menus offline and have our own copies for when we go (y)

Would love to hear more. Going on next sailing and received an e-mail about enhanced sanitation efforts needing to happen delaying our boarding. Is it that bad?
-
Seems the past few weeks RCCL has had some Norovirus problems. But is there one currently on the Indy? :o
Just received this text message prior to the 12/16 sailing onboard the Indy...
"INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS UPDATE - We have updated info regarding your Independence of the Seas sailing. To best provide you with an awesome and pleasurable cruise, we will be conducting enhanced sanitation and maintenance as part of our illness prevention efforts. Boarding time will now take place between 2:00pm and 6:00pm. We kindly ask that guests arrive no earlier than 2:00pm. As a thank you for your understanding, we will provide each guest with a $20 onboard credit to your onboard account to cover lunch and any incidentals. We look forward to welcoming you onboard for a great cruise."
Anyone on the Indy now? Do guests seem to be getting sick?

Tried to write him via his twitter though it didn't work....anyone know if Richard Spacey will be on Equinox Dec 16th-23rd. Whether he is the cruise director or not is a big factor whether we go so would love to know if anyone else has an idea.
Thanks in advance!
-
I know Richard Spacey will be returning from his break late August to Early September. Will he be on Equinox when he gets back? And if so...will he be on there through the New Year? Anyone know? Thanks in advance!!!

Any recommendations? It must be triple occupancy as we will be using the pullout.
Added bonus...any N1 pictures showing the pullout? Near impossible to find.
First time Azamara travellers and trying to figure it all out.
Thanks so much!

Does Azamara have the suite area open on Labadee with cabanas to rent just like with RCCL and Celebrity?
Thanks for reading!

Silhouette - 1/29/17 Sailing
Captain: Dimitrios Kafetzis (first sailing after return from vacation) replacing Athanasios Peppas
Chief Engineer: Yannis Chazandroulis
Staff Captain: Christos Galanis
Guest Relations: Cameron Robertson
Hotel Director: Raffaele Bernardini
Cruise Director: Sara Romera - leaves in April then returns in June
Food and Beverage: Srdjan Prastalo
Executive Chef: Victor Mancilla
Captains Club: Rossy
Production Shows: Life, Cosmopolitan, Pearl
Thanks so much for this!!! Going in 3 weeks and so excited! I have heard high praise for Capt. Kafetzis before! But I am a big proponent of how the Cruise Director can really add to a trip. How is Sara? Does she do Liar's Club and Love and Marriage? Would love to hear input!
-
Love that Silhouette list! I loved Luigi when he was Eddy's AM this summer and heard Capt. Peppas is great. Hope it's the same in 6 weeks! :D
-
Never knew you could do that with the drink package!!!! We had it on the Summit last time and got it for this trip. And awesome, looking forward to Lawn Club then!
Much appreciation for the reply and the tips and info!

Hi there! Long time cruiser, but never actually been on the Solstice class of ships and will be sailing in about a month! (Very excited!)
Does anyone have and tips or secrets about this class of ship? Little things that you may not learn about or pick up on with your first sailing on this class. Or if anyone has recent Celebrity Today pamphlets from week-long sailings that would be great!
Also got the dinner package and have been to Qsine and Tuscan Grille on the Summit, but are Murano and the Lawn Club grill worthy spots as well.
Any information would be helpful! Thanks in advance!
-
Going on Silhouette on February 26th...Does that above chart match who I will have at least in terms of Captain and CD? Any reviews on them? Never had them before....unless Luigi the current CD was Eddy Jenkins' Activities Manager on the Summit this past summer. Any info would be great... Thanks!
-
Thank you so much...this is exactly the type of thing I was hoping to here. :) I know that one sailing was known to be quite the doozy, but would be willing to take the risk.
-
I did not say either of those things. I know the pool is open during all weather...I am more concerned about how 1) the Anthem shapes us in rough Atlantic weather and 2) is the inside pool feel like a vacation?
Also, I said "newer types of stabilizers" more or less referring to the idea that stabilizers on a ship like the Anthem (likely made for rougher weather) and of the newer-kind (because it is a newer ship) would that make a difference.
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.

I thought MoveUp doesn’t qualify you for more points per day? Also, aren’t gratuities higher as well?
