It seems like everyone took that WAY out of content and I did not mean it in that way at all. That is the problem with posting and texting these days. I can't edit anymore after I posted it and edited it the first time. So that being said I am not waiting in line for a credit. Nor did I want or expect obc. It wasnt as bad as the media played it out to be. The staff on here are absolutely wonderful. I am glad no one got hurt. Everyone on here was asking questions and I thought I would be nice and try to give you an update but I won't be doing that again nor will I post again. I will just be a watcher of these boards like I used to be. People who know me know I am not a jerk nor am I petty. I would give the shirt off my back if you asked and comfort a child who was scared during this scary time yesterday morning. I wish you all the best of luck and I hope everyone's future cruises are wonderful happy ones. I know mine on freedom of the seas has been.

The fire started down in the engine room and traveled up the exhaust system to deck 15. The fire was being fought in 2 spots. Deck 14 and 15 are closed due to water damage.

The captain has given everyone wifi access but don't know for how long. Granted I am upset as I paid for wifi as many others. I will be talking to them about receiving a credit for this time. Also since everyone has wifi it is super super slow. A lot of sites won't load. Royal Caribbean did give everyone $200 obc per cabin for the fire.

We can now go to prominade for food.

Woke up to alarms and smoke pouring out of the smoke stack. We are all stuck in studio B because people are missing. Can't leave until they show up. Captain says fire has been extenguished. Don't know how much damage.

Is anyone else not able to get the internet packages? It still gives me an error and tells me to do sign up on board no matter which way I try.

No its 20 for one device per day and 30 for 2 devices per day. It's all over cruise critic regarding the prices.

I tried to book the internet package too and it wouldn't let me. We sale out in 17 days. I really wanted the 10% off!

We are leaving in 3 weeks for our first cruise on Royal Caribbean. I am curious about the wifi as I have only payed for Internet once and it was a block of minutes at the Internet cafe. It was very expensive. How fast is the wifi on Freedom? I have a camera at my house so you can view live and was wondering if I will be able to view it to check on my house and fur babies. Is Freedoms Internet fast enough to do that? Can you FaceTime or Skype?

I have Verizon and going on the Oasis March 21st. I never use my phone but this time decided to use it if I could. I called Verizon and they now have a new cruise ship plan/international plan. You can activate and deactivate after your cruise. $40.00 per month for - unlimited incoming text messages, 100 outgoing text messages, 100 voice calls/checking voicemails counts and 100MB for data(internet). This info is on the Verizon Web site. Hope this info helps.

I want to use this plan Verizon offers but can you use it while at sea and if so are there any extra charges?

I wanted to purchase the 40.00 global plan with verizon but I don't know if I can receive texts or calls while we are at sea. I used the trip app on Verizon and put it cruise ship freedom of the seas and they suggested the 40.00 plan. Will it cost me extra fees while at sea if I use my cell?

I wonder if I should buy the ultimate pkg now and get the free cup for a friend or wait until I get on board. I do have some obc to use toward the pkg but I also need to buy the soda pkg for my daughter. If I buy the ultimate now she can use the extra cup and in return that saves me the 40 something a week for her soda pkg or am I reading this deal wrong.

Are you saying you have to stay on the same device you signed up for Internet on or can you switch between devices like iPad to phone?

There will be a total of 11 people which includes kids ages 6,12,12,17 and 17. We looked at Royal palms but it says it's an adult only pool and we really don't want to fight with kids about the pool so we need a free beach and cheap chair and umbrella rentals. How much are the chairs and umbrellas to rent?
