Well, in 126 days we will be heading out on our first 7 day cruise out of NO. We did a 5 day last year on the Elation and decided then that 5 days was not enough so we are looking forward to this trip for sure.
I do have a question about the Dream. Does it have the SS kiosks in the lobby?

Our student is from Belgium. This will be our 3rd but the first that we would travel with.

We are considering a cruise in September but we will have an exchange student so I am curious what the rules/laws are concerning this. We use the International Student Exchange(ISE) and I have been unable to find any information on this topic.

For those of you who have been to Merida or Uxmal I need some help/advice please. I want to do both but obviously cant so I am torn. I understand Merida has a population of 1,000,000 so it seems it would be very crowded. How is it around the square? I want to see the cathedral and do some looking around and maybe some shopping along with some lunch.
On the other hand I want to see the ruins too and Uxmal sounds like a nice excursion from what I have read. I dont know if anyone else in our group would want to walk around looking at ruins with me so I might have to it alone.
So in your opinion which excursion do you prefer, and why? Thanks ahead of time!

I know I am a newbie to cruising, except for my Navy days, but here is my take on a review like this and some others I have seen. Now bear in mind that some reviews are actually validated by bad circumstances while on board. IMO I truly believe that some people get emotionally hyped up before a cruise, to the point of building up the event in their mind before they ever embark so much that it really doesnt take much to destroy their conception of what it "should" be like. In other words the ship and its staff just cannot win. I think some folks will find things wrong anywhere they look, no matter what the food is like or how the service is. Not everything will be perfect and as a first time cruiser I expect that and I know people are human and will make mistakes but I treat others the same way I would expect to be treated. I read a review in which the person complained because their young children were too short to use the slide or main pool on the Elation. Thats not the fault of the Elation or their staff. This person sounded as if it put them out to have to use the kiddie pool. That being the case I suppose they should not have taken their kids. Some people will find fault wherever they look and that is human nature in some, unfortunately. I dont put alot of stock in those reviews.
Just booked my 2nd criuse! The Dream.

That is good to know. Does anyone have any advice for the Dream? We are doing anytime dining again because we like the freedom to eat when we choose to.
