Somehow based on this post, this doesn't surprise me!

If you took this cruise out of NYC in the Spring or Summer, I doubt you would write off leaving from NYC ever again. It really is a great port
Sorry you had a rough experience.

Good to hear. I sailed RC Anthem last year and they barely had any music by the pool. It was depressing actually. Whatever they did have, lasted maybe 2-3 songs and then they were gone. :o

I started checking in online in bits & pieces. I now have my passports all together and ready complete and submit all of our information for the 4 in my party, however, we are all showing different check-in times.
We live pretty close to port, so I want to get there as early as possible. I have a 9:30 check in time (Which I want), My husband has an 11am and my kids have a 12:30 check-in time. I can't change their times because the 9:00 timeslot is not an option anymore for them!
I guess my question is... Does everyone in our party have to have the same check in time? Will there be a boarding delay if our reservation does not all reflect the same information?
Thanks in advance!

Have you checked out some of their YourTube videos? If Choir of Man is coming to the Escape - it may not exactly be a bad thing. They are phenomenal!

The Gem. Truly the perfect ship.

Worst meal I've ever had and I'm a foodie! They are trying too hard and flavours are all wrong. Save your money!

I kind of agree - although the Branzino & the chocolate desert at the end was excellent, I thought everything else was downright awful!
Everything was just so weird - the root veggies, the wasabi whatever it was.. appetizers from a test tube and some weird caviar and deviled eggs that tasted like incense... all very strange. Do not come to this place starving.
Chops is a much better choice for a really GREAT dinner!

Really?! What room were you?
I agree, that first morning was the worst I've ever felt, but we certainly felt the rocking everyday, even with calm waters.
We were in rm. 9172 :D. You probably seen us. We were the one with the two very excited kiddies

I'm surprised the third party picture company doesn't host the pics online for thirty days after each sailing and give passengers a code to access them. I bet they would get more sales.
Absolutely they would. It makes total sense.

Totally forgot to visit the photo area to view our photos. Is there a way to view / purchase them post cruise?

We were a couple of staterooms down from you.
I COMPLETELY agree with you on the ship motion. Every single day. First morning was bad as we were enroute to Bermuda!

Thanks for the great review. Question about the Windjammer - Was it only open until 9 on disembarkation day or is that everyday?

Chances that nine days will be washed out are pretty slim. Our last cruise started out like this
And turned into this
Have a great cruise!

Ahhhhhh :D

Same here. It's rained on loads of my Caribbean days, sometimes very heavy! But never for long! I suppose it's how it is so green??
Ahhh, yes. The grass on my lawn is insanely green. The Northeast has been getting massive amount of rain this Spring!

I see 100% chance of rain for my sail away. (figures ).
Here I am 2 days away, anxiety & excitement rolled into one mess - the thoughts running through my brain - Rain & overcast for my entire 9 night cruise.:(. I know, I am totally over reacting , and that is probably very unlikely, but has anyone had a complete washout for the entire duration of your cruise? If so, how did you make the best of it?
We all work very hard to afford these vacations and plan for months on end. Just the thought puts such a damper on the anticipation. (No pun intended).

Always nice too see a post that makes us appreciate giving up MTD a few years ago.:p
Kinda sad if one feels the need to time everything to the minute. Seems like a nice way to ruin vacation time.
Seriously! You are on vacation. Why the rush? OMG, I'm looking forward to getting away from all the hustle and bustle. If my worst problem of the day is waiting for a dinner table for 20 minutes, god bless!

I know you can with NCL, but I can't find an option to do so when I log in to My Cruises. 7 days and counting and I like to start the trip off right with a $0 balance ! ;)
-
Following your journey closely. The day you get off the Anthem is the day I get on. Cant wait. 7 days and counting. :D
-
Thanks so much for the update. I am on the next 9 day itinerary (May 25th).

This is exactly what we plan on doing. :D

I thought my mind was made up about where to spend our day in St. Maarten. I am travelling with young kids, Age 6 & 9. Original plan was to go to Little Bay Beach (Behind Divi resort) and end the day with some shopping before heading back to the ship.
Come to find out now that we will be the only ship in port so we are considering Maho beach since apparently it is an absolute MUST DO.
Help me weigh out my options. I need some suggestions. Is Maho really worth it? I'm hearing mixed reviews.
I'm looking for a nice beach, soft sand, clear water & amazing views without the crazy over crowding. Also, restaurants near by to grab lunch is a MUST, as changing / restroom facilities.
-
I take vacations to avoid situations like this! Ughh. Thankfully, my ship is solo the day we are in port.
Crazy!

Food is just too subjective.
If I don't have to shop for it, cook it, or clean up the dishes afterwards, I'm content. :D. Its not like I am used to eating Michelin rated cuisine on a daily basis anyway. :')
Why is RC still going to Labadee?
