Hello,
How does the beverage package work? If I order a beer does my receipt come with just the gratuity on it? Or is it an accounting nightmare? Thanks......Stan

Hello,
Leaving on Celebrity Silhouette on Feb 5, 2017. What kind of dress code during the day for like lunch in the main dining room or casino. Thanks for any advice......Stan

We just take a cab. Usually less tha $20, and the cabbies know where each ship is docked.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did find some information at the airport website.

The Celebrity website says you can buy a transfer from Fort Lauderdale Airport to Celebrity Terminal. Other than that there is no information concerning where to get the transfer, cost, times the transportation leaves for the Terminal. Anyone have experience with this? Thank you, Stan.

If you remove the scheduled gratuities, supervisors interpret this as a result of poor service and the service personnel get black marks against them. Keep the auto tips, pay your account in cash, and have a wonderful vacation with no unintended consequences

I'm more concerned with the service people getting their tips. What makes anyone think the bartender gets his 18%? How does the cruise line divide the money? How much does the cruise line keep? Pretty naïve to think the cruise line doesn't take a cut. Why can't a diner leave a tip on the table just like any other restaurant in the world? Thanks for your reply.

Hi,
I don't want gratuities to be put on my Visa card. I prefer to pay cash to the staff. How do I avoid paying gratuities up front? Thanks for any advice.

Done it many times. If we don't get the drink package we enjoy a glass of wine in our cabin before going down to one of the lounges for a pre-diner drink. We usually let our cabin attendant know the first day of the Cruise we would like wine glasses everyday. Never had a problem getting that request. You can also get wine glasses from room service or one of the lounges. Again no problem. We also pack our own wine opener in our checked luggage. It's a cheap one and the foil cutter is small. It's been on many Cruises with us.

Appreciate the info.

Your can confirm this on Celebrity's website: two 750 ml bottles per stateroom, at embarkation only, not from ports, no charge when consumed in stateroom, $25 corkage per bottle if consumed elsewhere. Best to bring it in carry-on luggage, not checked luggage

Thanks!!

Yes.
Two 750ml bottles per cabin, to drink in the cabin.
There is a corkage fee to open and drink in the dining room.

I booked a Celebrity cruise with a representative from Celebrity. She told me I could bring 2 bottles of wine on board with no charge. Anyone know if this is true or not? Thanks.........Stan

Just got my email from Norwegian that our Sept. 29,2014 Pacific Coast cruise will NOT include a stop in San Francisco. Instead we will be stopping in(hold your breath) Astoria, Oregon. I had a suite on the front of the boat just to be able to see the Goldengate Bridge and pffft, gone up in smoke. NCL says it is a berthing issue. Seems a company that size would know well in advance of this issue. I'll be suggesting to folks they try another cruise line that has a clue.

Hi,
Does anyone know which terminal Norwegian sails from? Thanks in advance.

We are sailing on Norwegian from Vancouver to Los Angeles. What would be the best way to get from our terminal to LAX? Thanks for any suggestions.
