  1. Hi everyone, we are doing Sapphire Princess 30 August in Alaska out of I think Wittier.  So far we have 2 people in Suite C752 and 1 person in a close internal room.  2 others looks like joining us and will probably have their own Balcony rooms near by.  We will all have the top Premium Beverage Package and my agent will link us all up as travelling together.  I can't seem to find on the website if there is a Suite Lounge and how it will work with the group having different room types?  I imagine we can all stay together on Boarding and Disembarkation even though different room types.  The don't have adjoining options so we had no choice.  Thanks for all info

  2. Thanks Edinburgher and Paula, that is super helpful information.  Yes, I was thinking Princess seem to really know Alaska, I will have time to read the reviews over the weekend, maybe stop even considering NCL ships as well.  I have been once before and the port times and location are super important.

  3. Hi everyone,  I am trying to drill down who goes to Glacier Bay the last week of August 2025 and the first week of September 2025?  Norwegian would be good if possible as they seem to have the room type we want, but having trouble getting confirmed Glacier Bay visit.  We need a room where there are 2 sleeping sections, for 2 adult people, happy to pay whatever it takes, must have veranda. Thanks.  PS, I did hold a Suite today on Sapphire Princess 30 Aug 2025 out of Whittier that shows Glacier Bay and Hubbard, don't have to pay deposit for a few more days, so still considering. Thanks all.

  4. Thanks arxcards.  I just called RCI and was able to gets answers to a variety of questions including we can't get any %discount if we are in separate rooms due them being on separate bookings.  But yes, we can pick up some waters from the Concierge Lounge while doing some damage during happy hour, so I think it will be overkill to get the package, specially given we can take a bottle on board as well.  I appreciate your info.

  5. Hi everyone, I am sailing on Quantum out of Brisbane for Xmas.  I have a Grand Suite booking.  My friend and her 2 children also have a Grand Suite booking.  We therefore have happy hour in the Concierge Lounge from 5.30 to 8pm.  We are trying to decide what drinks package to buy as it looks to be $140 p/d and that will be a lot of drink on top of happy hour.  At the moment it's 50% off for the second guest however we are in different staterooms so does anyone know if we can still get 50% off the second guest or must they all be in the same stateroom?  Thanks in advance.

  6. the already-present pre-paid service - from above. Is this the port supplied service or do the actual Cruise Lines also offer a service you can book that takes you straight to the Airport? I was going to do the regular luggage out the night before but collect on dock then get a Porter to take me to the taxi stand. I need a swift disembarkation and airport transfer. Will be in a Sky Suite.

  7. Someone above posted that their luggage was lost and it was near impossible to find due so much handling. Hmmmmmm. I am moving onto a Convention after this cruise going via LA. I think I will go back to the idea of using a Porter, which I am happy to pay for. Then at least I know my bags are with me at the airport for check in, only one step need to trace back if things go pearshaped. Is there a big time wait if the bags get taken off the ship and you collect them on the dock? I have an 11.30 flight out of SEATAC. Thanks.

  8. Thanks everyone, I have a good picture now. Happy to have one night booked at Murano. One night might possibly be in Victoria anyway and we have one night late departure out of Juneau, so that leaves 4-5 dinners at Luminae with the 2 menus, that should keep me happy. Yes, I would describe myself as a foodie. Lots of research goes into the food section of my travels!

  9. Hi everyone, I am sailing on Celebrity Solstice, 7 Sept Tracy Arm Fjord Cruise out of Seattle. I have a Sky Suite booked which I believe means dining in Luminae. I was wondering if I should still prebuy a 3 night Specialty Package or just plan on eating in Luminae? I love my seafood, enjoy fine dining style meals, already have the Premium Bev Package as part of my package. I think I may have dinner on shore in Juneau as we don't sail out till 22.00, also we have one dinner time as well in Victoria. So potentially only 5 nights dinners on board. Thanks.

  10. I am going to use the Luggage Service where you fill out a form, they print out a boading pass and luggage tickets and then you leave it outside your door on the last night and see it (hopefully) at the Baggage Carousel after your flight. So I will only have walk off cabin bag with me. Sounds like it will be quickest to jump straight in a taxi. Thanks all.
