For Verandah, email Myriam Brown rdmanager@theverandahresort.com
We reserved via email and paid when we arrived.
I have searched Grand Pineapple and Veranda Resort. Neither web site shows how you can book a day pass. Were the passes purchased on site the day you arrived? OR did you purchase in advance from an agency and not the hotel?
If you can provide website that allows me to book in advance that would be great.
Thank You

We got an all inclusive day pass at Verandah Resort and loved it. It's in the other side of the island from the port.

How long does it take for James to respond back to an e-mail? I e-mailed him back on Feb 26 and haven't heard a word back from him. I used this e-mail that you just provided....
He emailed me back within a few hours. Try again.

James's email is happiesttours@gmail.com. He is awesome. He took us to all the sites we wanted to see around the whole island, then to Carlisle Bay where he arranged a boat for us to go snorkel with the turtles. He's a terrific guy and I highly recommend using him.

Can you please help with a few questions?
Is there a splash are for kids or just pool?
Is the water swimable for little ones?
I heard cabanas are for 6ppl only, can one family book one and the other family visit them?
Any other advice? I heard bring lots of drinking water. Anything else?
Yes there's a splash pad with a small slide.
The water is pretty shallow near the shore, so fine for kids.
I don't know the rules on visiting, but there wasn't anyone patrolling the cabana areas to check how many people you had.
If you are renting a beach cabana, it comes with 6 bottles of water in the fridge, plus a couple fruit and cheese plates.
We had a really great day there (full day 8-5 on the Getaway). The island is beautiful, and the beach cabanas are especially nice.

There is free Wi-Fi included with the beach cabanas and it works really well.

We were at HC this week on Getaway, and thought it was awesome. The food wasn't that overpriced and the portion sizes were large. The weather was very sunny and beautiful. We had a beach cabana, which was incredible. It's really nice. Our kids (ages 6-8) loved playing in the sand and water right in front of the cabana. They spotted a lot of jellyfish and other small fish in the water. The loungers were comfy and nice. You get six bottles of water and fruit/cheese plates with the cabana. The service was outstanding. We also which went to the pool, which was crowded but not crazy crowded. My daughter got her hair braided for cheap ($30 for full corn rows and beads). We bought some trinkets too.
I think if you search hard enough, you can find the negatives in everything, but we had a perfect day there.

I think the NCL people don't know anything since a third party is sending these out

The email actually comes from NCL.com, it just links out to a third-party site. So I'd hope NCL knows what they are sending out. (But maybe I have high hopes :) )

My TA called and said haven guests will not get e mails to bid
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Just FYI, that's incorrect info. As you can see by the attachment, the email I received for my Nov 27 Getaway cruise says, "As a guest of The Haven, this programs allows you the opportunity to upgrade within The Haven to a more luxurious and spacious suite."
-
Does any know if someone already booked in the haven will get a letter to upgrade to a larger haven room?
Yes, we are in a Haven 2 bedroom suite, and we got an email to bid on H2/H3 rooms -- which are bigger square footage but don't hold 6 people (so we didn't bid).
-
Which ship? Most H2 and H3 only sleep up to 4 except Escape H2 does 6.
That would be interesting if you did win the bid and then they figure out there are 6 and the room only holds 4.
Getaway. It's funny because upgrade offer page has all six of our names on it, but the rooms they are offering are just for 4. :)
-
We are currently booked in an H4 (Haven 2 bedroom suite). We are a family of six. We got an email with the opportunity to bid on an H2 or an H3. Those rooms only sleep 4, right? I don't even understand why they would offer this to us.
-
Yes, it can. You have to call though - you can't book it online to use the credit. I booked mine today.
Just checked NCL website for Getaway Nov 27th. There are now 16 excursions listed for Harvest Caye including beach cabanas and poolside cabanas. Wondering if the shore excursion credit could be used for one of the cabanas? -
Thanks. I see that it's available to book online for my cruise too, now.
Sailing November 20 just went to nc website and was able to book online. $475 doesn't say what is included though just butler and concierge service. Says fits 6 comfortably we have 7 adults 3 kids.Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Has anyone else been able to book a cabana at Harvest Caye? I called today and the shore excursion rep said they are still not available for booking. (My cruise is end of November).
-
I called the shore excursions department to book one today, and the rep said that they weren't all "loaded into the system" yet (they weren't for my cruise) but that they should be by Friday. She didn't seem to have any other details about what they include, etc.
-
I'm sorry you had such a bad time. The standard kids' menu has a fruit plate on it, doesn't it? I'm confused why you had so much trouble getting fruit/veggies.

The thumb drive of photos was $40 last year, and they are excellent quality. We wore water shoes until switching into flippers on the boat.
