  1. $19 a day is very reasonable. NY is $35. I would much rather have my car at the port than worrying about transportation from another destination. Your car is fenced in (unlike NY) and safe. We cruise out of NY and NJ all of the time. I highly recommend staying at the port and just consider the $19 per day as part of your cruising fees.

  2. We had 8716 and 8720. Both of these cabins had the bed by the balcony. Absolutely loved it. Bathroom alone is great. (shower is double the size) and double sinks.....and balcony is 107sq.ft as opposed to 38sq.ft. Absolute heaven. One third on the balcony has an overhang for privacy and the other 2/3rds is visible to the cabins above you.

Ps....we had Anthony also. He was wonderful.:o

  3. I just turned 37 and I too am told (almost daily) about how well I dress or how striking I am. I'm not afraid of color or jewelry or to accessorize in a tasteful way. And before anyone blasts me for being conceited, I'm not conceited. Just confident.

I think I have the personality and confidence to wear this and wear it well. I will def take pics and post them for you!

Well then, I am a little confused. Why did you ask for everyone's opinion?

Wear what makes YOU happy. On Carnival, anything goes. I saw a whole family dressed up as the "Honey Boo Boo" clan on "elegant" night in February.

  4. Sarah,

I did a review of my last cruise in the reviews section (but there were no pictures). I will be writing a blog (with pictures) for my world voyage. I will definitely include some food pictures so I can make others hungry!:D

    Kathi

I am sooo looking forward to this. Actually, after reading yesterday, that you started saving for this cruise back in the 90's, inspired me to do the same.

I would love to give this cruise to my husband as a retirement gift...:o

  5. During the day it will be for inside even though it is very lightweight (I get warm easily). We will have some cooler ports so I may be able to wear it then. I haven't tried it on yet with my LBD (which is a simple straight shape) but I think it would work for informal nights.

Just out of curiosity....how many pieces of luggage will you bring for the cruise? Soooooooooo jealous, by the way. :o

  6. Little ol' me.

These pics describe me in a nutshell. I love fashion! & I embrace my height (6'0") with open arms!

Geeeezzzzzz Lexi...you could be a model. You are stunning.:o

  7. I do the same thing. I love to people watch!

The women who say that they never look at what others wear just don't seem believable.

Lol....so glad you said this. I have wanted to say this soooo many times to people, but did not want to come off as being rude....but whenever I read someone saying they do not notice what others are wearing, I think to myself, YES YOU DO. Women dress for women. Period.:o

  8. I think it depends on the ship. What ship are you sailing?

I love #1, but I think it is "too" dressy for certain ships (Carnival, NCL, RCCL)...

#2 looks more comfortable and adapts to most ships and as most people have already stated, it looks like it will travel much better than #1. (no ironing)

    Both are gorgeous....:o

  9. Hi everyone..may I join in?

I started Atkins January 2nd, 2010. After having 3 children and heading towards middle age...OMG.

    I was 5 feet tall. 202lbs. I looked like a rollie pollie.

I cut out all bad carbs and worked out almost every day for 30 minutes. This is very important. When people say they do not have time, I find that to be a cop out. Get up a half hour earlier each day.

    By November, I weighed 114lbs.

2 1/2 years later and I have maintained my weight. I do treat myself to pasta once in a while, but other than that......I stay away from all bad carbs.

My body is in better shape than it was before having my children.

Even Gweneth Paltrow attributes her mean body to "no carbs" and she refuses to give her children any also.

I have found this to be the easiest diet in the world. There are so many options. It never gets boring. Love it and hope all of you that are on the Atkins diet hang in there. NO CHEATING. Lol.
