  1. FYI, the Windjammer had them every day (Oasis 06/03-06-/10) they were delicious

We'll be on the Oasis on 8/5 and really hope we have the chilled soups in the windjammer since we'll be skipping at least 3 nights in the master dining room. It would be my luck that we skip the one night that the chilled soup is offered. Were the chilled soups mostly served in the evenings in the windjammer?

  2. We've been to the 3 ports many times so did not do shore excursions, instead went to a favorite restaurant in Cozumel, beach in Grand Cayman, and just a short walk in Costa Maya (My least favorite port), but be careful bcuz I got sick from lunch I had at CM restaurant.

We enjoyed our R and R cruise, and will sail Freedom again as it was economical, convenient as we live

    in Florida.

    Any questions, let me know

Thank you for the review. Were tender tickets issued for Grand Cayman?

  3. Port Day 1 - Grand Cayman

We did the Rays, Reef & Rum Point tour with Nativeway watersports - this was absolutely wonderful, can't say enough good things about them as a company. The water was so balmy (i'm a huge wuss when it comes to chilly water!!), the weather was perfect, everything was fabulous. Rum Point is beautiful, would highly recommend a visit there. The tour company even combined our family's tour with another small group so we got the bonus of going to see and handle the starfish at Starfish Point!

Did they do tender tickets for Grand Cayman? Thanks!!

  4. My daughter will be 19 (one month shy of 20) on our next cruise. Too old for the teen club, too young for the bar scene. She is worried that it will be hard to meet others her age and not many activities to participate in.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

No suggestions. Just wanted to say that I feel your pain. My son, who's in college and about to turn 19, has informed me that he's not interested in a family cruise again until he's 21. Sad, really, that there aren't more organized activities for that age group.

  5. Thanks very much for the suggestions.

I use Chrome exclusively on my laptop. I am typically trying to price a single cabin for 4 people. In the past, HA has given us price breaks for the 3rd/4th passenger in the same cabin - hence my interest in pricing that way. Tried again this morning with both Chrome and IE (both logged in and not logged in). Still can't get pricing.

I was hopeful that the iphone/Chrome suggestion would work (thanks for that). It seemed to work well for 2 people but could not get it to work for 4.

Yes... I could assume that the pricing is twice that for a party of two. And that puts HA out of the running for my business because I'm not going to put the four of us in a room without some price incentive. :)

    Again, thanks for your replies.

  6. I have sailed HAL twice in the past. I was able price cruises on their website by logging in, picking a specific sail date/ship, put in the number of passengers, and get a total price for the cruise based on the various cabin types I selected. Now, I can't seem to get that info unless I enter every last bit of data about every last person cruising. I don't want to do that when I'm just in the planning stages!! I just want a price! Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong??

    Thank you!!

  7. I would echo the advice to make a reservation for the first night. My son and I showed up at MTD around 6:00 PM on the first night of our Med cruise last summer and they said they wouldn't be able to seat us until around 8:30. We opted to eat in the windjammer that first night but made a standing reservation for the rest of the week for around 6:15. I would stop by in the afternoon (or call) to cancel if I saw that we weren't going to use the reservation on a particular day.
