Ali was also our guide. He was a great guy & we saw a lot of the island. Definitely a do-again.

Could someone who has been to the cameo factory tell me if you see cameos being made or is it just a retail establishment? :confused:

Yes, you see them being made.

We were there 2 yrs. ago. Victor met us at the dock and introduced us to Ali, our driver and guide for the day. He was a wonderful guy!

We were there a few years ago & I got a nice, larger sized cameo set in 14 kt. gold pendant/pin for $165. Prices have obviously gone up since then. That's a shame.

One more vote for between Thanksgiving & Christmas.

They have some beautiful things there & we were able to watch the owner working on a piece while we were there. I enjoyed going & will give my cameo to my granddaughter when she get older. They also give you a certificate of authenticity. Neat place. Have a great trip!

I got a nice-sized cameo, 14k, for $165. They have items priced less than this.

The worst of all cruises was the lamb stew-like stuff in gravy on the Norwegian Dream. Absolutely awful & couldn't even eat an entire bite! Not a good night in the dining room cause this entre sounded the best when reading the menu!

We prefer late seating so we can relax after a port day. Then enjoy late shows. Didn't expect to like Freestyle dining on NCL but it is great - just eat when we feel like it. No waiting except a 5 min. once. Just put me on a cruise ship!!

We usually cruise after Thanksgiving through the middle of Dec. too. Fewer kids & also prices are better too. Enjoy going from winter weather back to summer in the Carribbean. We've been on Carnival & Norwegian & have an RCI scheduled for Dec. Want to try other cruiselines, although never been on a cruise I didn't like!

Thanks for the info. Where else did you go in Roatan? We're renting a driver through Victor Bodden. Been to Roatan once before but only took the Tabayana Beach trip through the ship. Thanks again.

Read about a cameo factory not too far from the pier & was wondering if it's worth going to. Does anyone know anything about it? Is is very pricey? Going to Roatan in 2 weeks. Happy cruising!
