For Coke you will have to find a suspicious fella named Luigi on deck 7.

On the three MSC cruises we have been on (Divina, Preziosa & Fantasia) we have been assigned a table to ourselves. Travelled with Wife, Daughter & Mother. :)
-
I never had a problem taking a drink with me to the shows on Fantasia...:)

Wait! There's a "Levkas to Stoupa" repo???
How much does that cost then??!?!!?
-
I could be wrong, but given that it's at the very front of the ship I believe it will have a metal balcony instead of a glass one. If so, I'd reccommend changing cabins...

You'll still have to hand over your cruise card everytime and sign a receipt, only difference is the total at the bottom will be zero.

Wow! Thanks Skier.
Have stayed in central Venice before, so can sort of find my way around there. But this is incredibly helpful!

White Russian is my usual "cruise drink" but...
I am going to be ALL OVER those B52's!
-
Split between 4 it sounds very reasonable, especially not having to deal with the headaches of lugging luggage on public transport!
I'm a cheapskate. But will always weigh up the value/cost ratio...

Many thanks.
If that is all it costs in a taxi, it looks like that's the way to go! :)

Hi,
So, true to form, my pre-cruise planning has been as precise as a Ninja-Surgeon's blade!
We're off the Venice Friday am to join Fantasia on Sunday. Booked in at the Hotel Al Vivit which I believe you've stayed in.
Just wondering if you could proffer any advice on best way to get from airport to hotel, hotel to ship etc (& back)?
There are 4 of us (Me, Wife, Mother, 7yr old daughter), default inclination is taxis, but don't like to get ripped off... ;)
Many thanks.

If the prices for "Bella" are significantly lower than the standard fare now, I will be a VERY happy camper as I never use any of the "extras" anyway.
Sadly, I fear this will not be the case & it's just a way to disguise price-hikes...

Shouldn't that be "Four, Three, One...Allegrissimo!" ???
-
I shall make this my first drink on Sunday then.:D

What's in a B52?
-
You should definatelately take your passport! ;)
-
Going on past experience, if you turn up to the ship at 11ish they'll let you embark no problem. (They may even give you a piece of paper that says "upgraded to early embarkation" although I don't know why, as no-one will ever ask to see this bit of paper!).
-
Have no idea what rum runners are, but surely, buying Allegrissimo makes more sense?
-
I would LOVE to join you! But sadly, my Tardis is playing up at the moment... :D

I'm loving the alcohol intake!
(Makes me feel like less of an alky...) :)

If booking drinks package onboard you'll be charged the 15% gratuity. Booking in advance avoids this charge.

Is smoking in cabins definately still only "discouraged"?
I got the impression on Preziosa last year that they'd altered the rules to ban it there too?

The first time I visited America I was perplexed when given Maple Syrup to go with my fry-up. I was all "HP Sauce or gtfo"...
In the interests of cultural diversity I decided to give it a try though, and you what? WOW. :)
Sadly, I have yet to find a greasy spoon this side of the pond that has syrup.
(Don't think it would work with Baked Beans on the same plate though...)

Thanks for the review!
I'm sailing on the 25th... Any tips for the ports of call?
Do you find the YC a good value for the money.

Have sailed with MSC 3 times now, but not in YC. Can't say I've ever felt like a 2nd rate passenger. The whole of the ship('s) are wonderful.
