  1. Nice selection! Exciting! If you want to go off-resort in Moorea, it’s nice to rent a car from Avis or Alfred’s and just drive around the island. James Samuela in Haapiti-Varari is an excellent tattoo artist if you or anyone is looking for ink. Belvedere is beautiful to get an overview of the bays and the Rotui juice factory & distillery is nice to visit without a large tour group.

  2. No, but I’m also curious for October 2020. I loved CD Steve Wood. He was so personable and seemed to really care about the guests. I think he moved on, came back for a bit, and then moved on again. The website shows one CD on the Onboard Staff page: Maire Caherty

  3. We’ve cruised PG in August and September, Society Islands and Tuamotus. Very little rain, one morning in Bora, one afternoon in Taha’a, and an evening in Moorea. A windy day in Moorea. Not too hot either trip but nice and warm. The water for snorkeling was a little cooler in August. All of this can vary. They do have kids programs in mid-summer and the holidays, which I imagine makes for a more family oriented vibe.

  4. If you want to clean everything as you wear it, the package is a good value. They do a great job as everything comes back perfectly clean and pressed. We use it everyday. I do have to be mindful of what I send to them because they seem to wash hot and dry hot. And they press everything. One time they pressed creases into my pants which I don’t crease, but they redid them quickly. The package is particularly useful because each day I’m wearing two to three outfits, especially if we’re in the water midday. A bonus is not having to look at laundry hanging in the room as it dries the whole cruise.

  5. I recommend pure snorkeling in bora to everyone. The boats and guides are exceptional and you’re able to snorkel at less populated locations with shallow corals. We’ve gone twice and each time we visited different locations including a long snorkel in shallow coral, a spot with colorful fish and eels, manta rays at the cleaning station, and spotted eagle rays in deeper water. the post-snorkel ride around the lagoon in the speedboat is so fun.

  6. I’ve cruised PG in 2013 and 2016 and have booked another sailing for October 2020. Who are the current captains? I’ve been fortunate to have Captain Toni on both sailings and would like to know if he might be at the helm next year. I don’t know if they work predictable schedules. I’m also curious to know who the other captains are. What are they like?
