We managed quite well with an inside cabin on the Texas deck. Loved the proximity to the Front Porch Cafe and fresh coffee each morning. What an amazing way to relax for two weks!

Thanks! We've booked back to back cruises from Memphis to Cincinnati and don't mind cozy. I'll pack earplugs and leave the eye mask behind. :)

Have you tried an inside cabin and did you enjoy the experience? Is it something you would do again to save money?

Clarkston is the gateway to Hell's Canyon. Best way to see is by boat tour.
Car rental to Lolo Pass is pleasant with a stop for lunch at Lochsa Lodge. Idaho is serene and avoids I-5 traffic hassles at the Portland end.

We liked port side from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati...enjoyed the natural landscape of West Virginia. Didn't notice any loud noises coming from the boat.

We didn't miss the paddle (however we look forward to seeing it next time!). The trip was delightful top to bottom. We left on the 4th of July and were entertained with Pittsburgh fireworks on the river before heading to Cincinnati. Accommodations and staff were wonderful...everything was well planned and executed. :)

That's exactly what we needed to know! Walking to dining from a great little B&B for anniversary dining is what we want to achieve this summer. We will be booking our B&B with confidence. Is Newport a great funky walkabout? :D

Thanks, Lyn...was there a captain's dinner with a dressier atmosphere?

The saloon looks like a "dress up" affair...how do the women dress for evenings of dining and dancing?

How is the dance floor situated? Is there room for many or a few? I love to dance but my husband is reluctant...are there bright lights on the floor or is it more subdued?
