We will be traveling to Helsinki on a cruise in September and are interested in Winter World and the Ice Bar.  Is it within walking distance of the cruise terminal or will we have to take a cab and how much does it cost?

After doing some research, I realized my budget needs to be higher. I came up with Club Quarters on Devonshire and Boston Hilton on Broad St. basically the same price. Any pros/cons?

Thank you everyone for your advice. I have stayed in Venice before but because we won't be arriving until the afternoon after an overnight flight from NY and then heading to the ship by 11:00 the next morning, we chose the Best Western Bologna. If we're up to it, we'll take the bus into Venice to explore. We do plan on visiting Venice again for a few days (either pre or post cruise) and will definitely stay in Venice. I am printing out and will hold on to all of your recommendations.

We rented the car through Avis for approx. $130. Yes, we are planning to take I-87 to Montreal. Can anyone give me a heads up on what to expect from customs when crossing the border.

Thank you for the suggestions but our main purpose is to get to Quebec City airport as quickly as possible, grab a cab and get to the cruise terminal.

My husband and I are renting a car (one-way) driving from NYC to Quebec City airport. Does anyone have any helpful info regarding the drive especially from Montreal to Quebec City airport and also what to expect at boarder patrol entering Canada.
