How are you seeing the golf cart and ramps being rolled out?

We boarded Freedom today, and I was surprised to see there was still a hole from where the fire was. I also noticed that they were installing the actual scrubber, which if you look closely you can see it attached to the crane, to the right of the hole. I just thought others on here might find it interesting.

From what I'm reading, they've already got deck 14 removed, and the top part of some of the taller caisons. This is one time that it would be AWESOME to have some good webcams, or some type of pictures to show progress.

That...and the cause of the fire and the extent of damage. It would be nice to get back on that subject rather than bickering about inappropriate questions.

I agree. Someone mentioned earlier that scrubbers are being installed, and someone had been up there working. I have to agree with them that it seems fire would be unlikely to be up that far if it was in the engine room. I have to wonder if they're right and it had something to do with the installation of the scrubbers. That had to be some HELL fire to melt that steel like that.

Now that everyone is safe, I'm more interested in seeing how/when this repair gets done! :)

Down and to the left of the Crown and Anchor logo, it's looks like a pretty significant portion of the stack housing bulkhead is damaged....it almost looks like it was torn through.

I noticed that to. I'm fairly certain that would have been steel, so that fire MUST have been pretty dang hot and intense to melt it.

Is Adam Goldstein no longer the President of RCC? I just got an email from RCC saying that Michael Bayley is the new President and COO. Anyone know why?

Speaking of webcams, why isn't there any webcams available for Quantum yet? From what I'm understanding, there are some, but none listed on RCCs website, or anywhere else from what I can find. Anyone have the answer?

I think you would enjoy Radisson Resort at the Port. It is a really nice hotel, with a really nice pool. When you go down there, make sure to try out Kelseys Restaurant, which is next to the Radisson. Oh my god, their food is incredible IMO(and my families. =-) )

OK. That's a little earlier than I was thinking. I was thinking it went into dry dock around March or so.

I know Freedom is going into Dry Dock early next year, but they aren't going to wait until then to fix this issue, are they?

As I said before, since this is still in the toxic waste clean-up stage, I'll bet that the contractor is severely controlling camera access, so that their methods and remediation measures cannot be called to account later.

I found this video which has some footage from inside the ship showing workers actually cleaning out the ship. Looks pretty messy. I figured we would sooner or later see some type of footage from inside the ship despite any type of ongoing search, or anything like that.

Thanks for replying, and getting a photo! I think that was a good decision to be honest. I can't say the donuts were that great to begin with, but also had weird hours. I imagine the hot dog stand would be a way better attraction.

I've seen rumors that the donut shop was being removed from the boardwalk, and being replaced with the hot dog stand. Like what's on Allure. Are you seeing this, or is the donut shop still there?

I wonder what they will end up doing with the area with the footings from where the TV screen use to be at. It looks like the flooring was completed around it. I wonder if they'll leave the platform there, and put something on it, or just remove it completely, and have the flooring redone. That will be interesting-to me at least for some reason.

Any new pictures, or better webcams that anyone knows of? I haven't seen anything for quite a while. I'm wondering how much they have gotten out of the interior of the ship. It would be really cool to see some pictures.
