  1. Jumping on this thread to see if anyone has advice about when a good time to pay for a drinks package is. We're on Brilliance of the Seas out of Sydney on 4/4/24, but it's our first time booking with RCI in Australia (we're from the UK) so I was wondering if there are time of year when discounts or special offers come around?

  2. Hi, we're booked on Beyond 18th August - we are planning to book the Speciality Dining Package but don't understand the "1st Night Reservation" part of the deal.

When we go through the online booking it sets us up to make 3pm reservation on the 1st night:

    • Does this mean we have to dine at 3pm on the first day?
    • If not, does it mean we have to dine on the first night?
    • If we don't have to dine on the 1st night, do we just dash onboard and arrange our Speciality dining as soon as possible?
    • We'd like to eat in Eden, Le Voyage and Le Petit Chef - is there likely to be availability for them if we wait until we board?

    Any advice much appreciated

  3. That's great advice, everybody - thanks!

We're debating whether to rent a car or pre-book with Black Hat/Tour Plaza

I'm swaying toward pre-booking a tour to avoid any issues with filling the tank up or any hassle when driving ourselves.

I know it'll be a little more expensive, but it sounds worth it for peace of mind

  4. We're a group of 4 visiting Cozumel with NCL this August. We'd like to spend the day at Punta Sur but I'm not clear what the best way to get there and back is.

Can we pick up a taxi at the terminal that will take us there? What about getting back to the ship?

    Any ideas on cost?

We'd rather not rent a car for the day.

    Any suggestions appreciated

  5. Hi - posting on behalf of my mum & dad who are on in Rio on Celebrity Eclipse 3-5th March

They've bought Carnival tickets for 4th March through Viagogo

The tickets will not be shipped out until closer to the actual date, so Viagogo has asked them to provide an address in Rio where the tickets can be delivered to.

Any advice? Should they try to provide an address for the Cruise Terminal? Any other places they could collect them from?

    Thanks in advance

  6. On your debarkation invoice the Cruise next certificate appears as a $250 charge while the credit appears as a non-refundable. The credit offsets part of the charge so you do not need to concern yourself with spending the credit.

Example: Assume you have no charges on your account. You buy four cruise next certificates for $250 each total cost $1000

Final statement will show $1000.00 charge $500.00 non-refundable credit $500.00 balance due.

That's great advice - thanks for making that so clear for us

  7. We're sailing on the 9-night Baltic on Breakaway on 10th August.

We've already decided that we're going to sail on Breakaway again in August 2019 in the Caribbean along with my parents, so I'd like some advice on how to take maximum advantage of the Cruise Next Deposits.

We'll be booking 2 staterooms for next year's cruise, so can I purchase 2 Deposits?

As I understand it, purchasing 2 Deposits will earn me $250 OBC for the cruise we'll be on; because we've already paid for our Gratuities, Drinks Package, Speciality Dining Package and Shore excursions, we don't think we'll be able to spend it all.

    Can we:

    a) use the $250 OBC to pay off some of the balance on next year's cruise?

    b) cash out the OBC at the Casino?

    Any advice appreciated
