Hi all!

 

I'm doing Breeze followed by Getaway in May & have done Breeze/Allure before & Breakaway so my choice would be Getaway. It's a new ship with a Miami vibe, great entertainment, fireworks one night & has a very high approval rating on CC 89% vs 72% for Breeze. You can't go wrong with either of them really & it depends on what you like eg ports, pool, activities etc.

also depends on if you are 'foodies' or not? we've done both Carnival and NCL and personally the food is way better on Carnival.. better flavors, selection, etc..

We enjoy the food part of a cruise very much. The food on Carnival was much better than any ship on RCL.

I say try something new and then the following year you can pick which was your favorite than help me next time I cruise lol!

Thank you everyone for the awesome recommendations. We have been pricing and comparing both ships all week and would like to have this vacation booked by Saturday. The Breeze has a 8 day itinerary that goes to ports we have never been such as Aruba, Dominican Republic and Curaco. I seem to be getting a better deal on the Getaway price wise. We try and travel with a balcony since we have a toddler and once he falls asleep we like to escape to the balcony. My biggest concern with the Getaway is their camp and kid activities. The Breeze was amazing for kids and their pool area was perfect.

Miami! Beautiful view and fun people to set sail with. We hated leaving from Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale)! Miami is organized compared to Port Everglades.

We are planning our annual cruise for our anniversary and would like help in deciding between Carnival Breeze and Norwegian Getaway. We loved the Breeze last year and had a great cruise, we just are not sure if we should try something different or continue with The Breeze since it was such a great vacation. Any suggestions? Anyone try both?

We upgraded to a spa cabin and were located in a nice section of the ship for the same price of spa passes. You should consider. We had a beautiful spa balcony.

I usually drink the water on all the ships (completed over 15 cruises) but every cruise by the 7th day my stomach feels funny. Not sick, but it has an unsettle feel. This past cruise onboard the Carnival Breeze I never drank the ships water and only had bottle. I never had that unsettled stomach feeling. I am almost positive it is bc of the water. Not saying the water is bad, just different than what we are use to back home. Even when traveling state to state all city waters have different taste and anytime your body is experimenting with something slightly different you may react a certain way or have a funny stomach issues.

The last 2 ships I sailed on were the Liberty and the Breeze and there is no comparison. The Breeze is superior in every way. There is more to do for the 11 year old on the Breeze (ropes course, thrill theatre). The band #Rythmnation on the Breeze is excellent. Fat Jimmy's BBQ on the Breeze is excellent. The $12 upcharge Italian restaurant on the Breeze is excellent. The decor, the layout, even the atmosphere at the lido buffet are better on the Breeze.

I could not agree more with you. We have done 11 Royal Caribbean Cruise and tried the Breeze for the first time in Sept and will be sailing again this summer. The Breeze has excellent staff, great food and many different activities for all ages. Great ship, fun and relaxing. If you are looking for elegance this is not the right ship for you. However, if you are looking for a fun, family vacation there is not better ship than the Carnival Breeze!
