We also arrive on the 29th at 8:45am from Orlando, FL. I wanna book a day excursion also, knew that would be the only day to really see Some of Barcelona. Has anyone booked through Visator?

RCCL has many ships that offer Pickleball. I think its a great addition to the other activities on board. We are Sailing WONDER in Oct but unfortunately they are not one that offers it yet. Join in, its a great sport for all ages.

Is there a Brazilian Steak house on the Bliss? We enjoyed the one on the Escape last year. We set sail on Monday 9/30 for the Pacifc Coast cruise, so excited.

I was feeling a little concerned especially since I’m a new at home travel agent and booked this cruise with a group of friends. Thanks for the input, on your 11th deck rooms. Usually never an early night for us, so I don’t see this being a problem for us. Happy Sailing

4 days and counting down. NCL-Dawn CA/NE Cruise
-
Do not get a mini suite mid ship on deck 11. You will hear the loud pool music 5 nights until midnight.
Well thanks for the info, a group of 5 couples leave on Thurs for a CA/Boston cruise and we are Mini Suites Mid ship Deck 11. I guess we will have to just stay out past 11pm. Problem solved.

We are planning a New England/CA trip in late Sept with a few other couples. We are coming from FL and my questions is which itinerary is the best and also NCL Dawn or RCL Serenade. We have cruised 20+ times but never this itinerary. Our cruise line of choice is RCL, however we went on NCL Escape in Sept 2017 and we loved it. Any input would be greatly appreciated

We have sailed Allure 4 years in a row always with a Boarwalk Balcony. The first year deck 11 the other years we were on deck 8. We love the Boardwalk Balconies. Birds eye view for the water theatre show and the Boardwalk Activites. I am sure you will have a great time

We went on the Escape in Sept 2017 and this was our first on NCL. We are RCL cruises and after 15+ cruises we decided to try something different and we loved it. We loved the Irish bar/restaurant where you could get complimentary sports bar foods, wings, nachos etc. Also, the Jimmy Buffet Restaurant around the pool area was a great place to hangout Pool . The Waterfront area was also very nice. We took the drink card and Speciality Restaurants as are extra and the drinks were plentiful and the food was Excellent as were are bartenders and Wait staff. The shows were just average to us. The Howl at the Moon Piano bar was lots of fun. We are currently looking into the Canada/Boston cruise in Sept/Oct. Happy Sailing.

Leaving today gonna make a Scavenger hunt list. It will be 3 couples So guys vs girls. I will make a list of things and each group will take pictures of items requested with group members. Example: take a blue shot together, someone in a team sport cap, pic with a bartender . Any other ideas? Sail today on Escape, can't wait

Love all the great reviews on the Escape. We leave on Sept 23 on the Escape and this being our 1st NCL cruise. We have cruise 20+ times but never on NCL. Our Cruise of choice has been RCL but so excited to see what all NCL has to offer. Booked Mini Suite on 14th floor
mid-ship. Even with the itinerary change we are excited to be going. We live in SWFL and just went through the eye of Irma, so we are in need of some R&R.
-
First time on NCL and we leave in 7 days on the Escape. Our Eastern cruise is now changed to Western, but thats okay, just excited to be going after spend the last few days going through Hurricane Irma here in SW FL. We are one of the Lucky ones to have minor damage unlike many in our area. Time for a little R&R.
-
This is our first NCL Cruise and the iteniary change really doesn't matter to us, as we are just looking forward to the ship, we have sailed both Eastern and Western. However there are a couple of these ports that we have never visited, so any suggestions or ideas of things to do? We sometimes enjoy getting a private taxi and just touring the islands

79 Days till we set Sail on NCL Escape.............
-
Great info, sailing Escape on Sept 23rd. This will be our first NCL cruise, since we have done over 15 RCL cruises the last 4 being on the Allure. So we are very accustomed to the larger ships and realize that sometimes things may be a little slower with the larger amount of passengers. Looking forward to a new cruise experience with NCL. Hard part was making sure we stayed on a good deck, and we booked mini suite on 14th floor, fingers crossed
-
We are cruising Late September on The Escape and this will be our first NCL cruise. Is there any recommendations on the best Speciality Restaurants. Thanks in Advance.
-
This will be our first time going on NCL and I was wondering which deck is better higher or lower mid ship. We will be booking a MiniSuite Balcony. We are Royal Caribbean cruisers and are not famaliar with NCL at all. However we are looking forward to booking for a late Sept cruise. Any input would be helpful. Thanks in Advance

North Fort Myers, FL Girl here going to Alaska May26 cruising on May 31st. Love reading all the comments on what to pack. I always overpack I'd rather have what I need if I need it. So excited for this Alaska Cruise we have talked about it for years. Dog Sledding is on our List of things to do.

We will be traveling with another couple and arrive on Friday the 26th for the land tour portion of our trip through Princess. We set sail on the 31st on the Island Princess. Skagway, Juneau and ketchikan
Are you doing the land portion as part of a pre-packaged cruisetour from the cruise line, or are you doing that on your own? Which ports are you stopping in on the cruise? Who is "us"? Interests? -
Sorry we are doing the land tour with Princess before boarding the Island Princess on Wed May 31st. Our stops include Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan.
Since you didn't provide any info about your ports or land stops, your interests, budget, physical ability, and if there are kids in your party, I suggest you do some research to determine what sights and activities are best for YOU.-Read thru past trip reports ( posted above). Many are detailed photojournals with lots of first hand recommendations and great photos that bring the trip to life.
-Borrow Alaska travel books from your library.
-Lots of info available on line .... look at the HELPFUL RESOURCES thread below which has web sites for the ports, towns, discount coupons, Visitor Guides, travel sites, etc
Have fun with your research and planning.
