No, unfortunately, it's not simply an adjustment of the price.  You have to completely cancel the current package you have and order it again at the new price.  You pay in full for the new package and within a few days you will be refunded for the package you cancelled to the original form of payment.  We did this twice before our last sailing and the money we saved re-booking it a couple of times was well worth it.

Thanks!  I guess I will yet have to check beverage pricing on a regular basis once I book and hope it drops to at least in the $40s.

  2. I have switched to NCL and Celebrity for the last few cruises bc of free drink package.  My daughter misses RCCL and wants to do another but the cost of the beverage package is really a factor!

If I book and then add the beverage package how does this work- I pay for beverage package in full and then call if and when price drops and get an adjustment?  I have regularly done this for cabin price drops but did not realize I could do same for beverage.

    TIA

  3. I would recommend carrying your bags off and downloading the passport app to speed through customs. This way, you have some extra time built in for the possibility of a delay. We’ve done this several times on Oasis class ships out of FLL. Have a great cruise!

What is the passport app? How does it get you through customs faster? I don’t know about this. Thanks!

  4. I am booked for maya chan (2nd time) and mr sanchos (first time) for next cruise in April! I decided on mr sanchos over nachi in Cozumel. This will be our third time in Cozumel. We did a snorkel trip from one of the vendors in port and that was ok. We went to three spots in a very small boat with about 10 other people. We also did xel ha booked with rccl and that was amazing! It was a long trip there and back but the time there was very fun. We did not get a chance to see any of Cozumel on that trip.

  5. You should be ok with an oxybenzone free sunscreen. Oxybenzone is the sunscreen ingredient mostly blamed for harming reefs. All major brands of sunscreens have oxybenzone free products- just need to read labels to learn the active ingredient. Many spf 50 and higher have oxybenzone but easy to find spf 30and lower. You can also use a mineral based sunscreen with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. These products are also easy to find But they are very whitening!

  6. You definitely can make reservations every night online. They cannot do it by phone. Final payment not needed. Go to your personalizer, where you are able to purchase booze packages and shore excursions and specialty dining. Go to dining reservations like you were going to make specialty dining reservations and there will be an option for each day for Select Dining. It is a typical Celebrity boneheaded website process but can be done. I've done it hundreds of times.

  7. Answered in highlights.

Thanks for the info! Right now my only options are anytime, 6pm and 9pm. I picked anytime but cannot select a specific time for each day like I can on royal Caribbean. I will give celebrity a call. I am wondering if I have to pay in full first. Thanks again!

  8. Iam booked on my first celebrity cruise in April. I have two questions:

1- When do they open up the reservations for specific select dining times?

2-when I make reservation can I request a table for my party only (4)?

Thanks in advance for any advise!

  9. We just returned from a cruise that sailed from the port of Miami but we flew into Fort Lauderdale. ( cheaper flight ) Stayed at Marriott Courtyard airport which was nice. Good price too $ 130.00 for 2 queen beds.

We did book SAS to take us from the Fort Lauderdale hotel to the Miami pier. That worked out fine and it was $ 33.00 total if you used a credit card. HOWEVER ( I know this won't apply for you ), do NOT sign up for SAS to take the van from the port back to Fort Lauderdale. We got on the van at 9:15 a.m. and we were to be dropped off at the Courtyard near the FL airport. He dropped us off just after 11 am so we were on the van for a good 1 hr and 45 min!! He kept circling the port to fill the van and then finally took everyone to the FL airport and circled that airport 8 times to fill up the van. Some passengers were upset because it took the driver so long to drop them off at the airport. The driver was beyond rude. I didn't want to tip him but my husband did. I told the driver no way would I have signed up if I knew it would take at least an hr and 45 min to get back to the FL hotel. He said it was " shared passenger service" and I should have know it would take that long.

Thanks for info! I was planning on using them for the return- I definitely will not!!!!

  10. You don't just show the card; they will need to swipe it (or at least someone's card in your party, if you're ordering several drinks). But there is nothing to sign, unless you go over the $15 limit or unless they have to collect local taxes. Or I suppose if you ask them to print out a slip so you can write in an extra tip.

Great, thanks for the info. There is no signing on royal so I wanted to confirm. I have never paid taxes while at port on royal. Is this a NCL thing?

  11. Hangouts works just as fine on an iPhone. You might not have the better integration as on Android (you can get both GV and regular text inside Hangouts) but you can text and call via Hangout on an iPhone. Try in on land before you ever get on the ship. Put your phone in Airplane mode (as you would on the ship), turn on WiFi only and try it.

I have been able to make calls via hangout in airplane mode with wifi on using my iphone. I have been experimenting with different wifi sources and so far it works most places . .

  12. I have a couple more questions if someone can help. I just feel so out of sync with all of these new ways of surfing, texting, etc. on the ships now.

    1. Is there a way for me to place a voice call using Voom wifi without Data charges from an iPhone to an Android phone?

    2. What about texting? Can you text someone using Voom or is not included because you are using cellular data?

Also, can I use Facetime using Voom wifi to facetime another iPhone without data charges?

Thank you in advance once again.

My am not tech savvy but my plan is to use wifi only to make voice calls. I signed up and got a google voice phone number. I will forward my calls to this number while onboard. I can then hear all voice mail thru google voice. To make voice calls, I downloaded hangout app and will make calls with the Google voice number. It is working at home but I need to "practice" more before we sail. If anyone sees any problems with my plan please let me know! I have three doggies that I need to check on while away!
