  1. We are booked on the Majesty of the Seas set to sail out of Orlando on Friday, September 8th. We leave for Orlando tomorrow morning, so we will be watching the weather closely as we get closer to the date. It's only a three night cruise. If the cruise ends up being cancelled, we will just stay in Orlando for a few extra day at Disney or Universal (we have annual passes to both parks). We haven't booked a hotel yet (we almost did today, but then changed our minds).

  2. We had late dining, but our table (56) would have been very near yours!

I was able to identify the winning couple (and the middle?) from Match Your Mate as being part of the AllEars group. We remembered his wife saying that he was good at Disney Trivia, and sure enough he won the Disney Trivia we attended!

Yes, he was very good at Trivia--he actually made a trivia scavenger hunt for our group.

Our paths must have crossed a couple of times on the cruise. I was at a Disney Trivia that he won (in La Piazza), and many of the adult events in the Tube (at one of the events, I had to play Rock Paper Scissors, and I lost, lol).

  3. I like the forward facing obstructed view cabins (category 9c and 9d) that are all the way forward on the Dream and Fantasy. The rooms are oversized--the most spacious room that I've ever stayed in on a cruise ship. Here is a video I took of room 8502 on the Dream a few years ago:

ETA: When we went on this cruise, my friends and I did a tour of each others room--one was in an inside room with a magical porthole, and another in a verandah room. We all agreed that my room was the best because it was so spacious. My friend with the magical porthole said that the characters didn't come out that often. Maybe a couple an hour.

  4. Great report and pictures! I was on this cruise as well, in a room right down the hall form you (7520).

Were you on early or late dining? We had the same restaurant rotation as you, and we were on early dining (table 51).

The couple who won the Match Your Mate Game were part of the group I was with--I had just met them that night, and was actually snapping lots of pictures for them.

  5. I did the Castaway Cay 5K on my Fantasy cruise a week and a half ago, and I got the medal. It's a plastic Mickey head with a winner ribbon.

Good luck if you decide to do it! It was overcast the day we did it, but still quite hot and humid. Make sure you stay hydrated!
