Recent YouTube video link of CC, end of video shows her bow is still attached!!
-
Another update link from Ship Recycling below, again with very limited information, interesting to hear 21 sponsons now removed;
-
Good time lapse video of Concordia being dismantled up to date:
Thanks Luisrp for the recent webcam shots, please keep on posting them, I can't get the camera to work (again)!

Micoperi Trenta / 30 is now back at Giglio Island along with a few tugboats.
I guess the Islanders won't be overly amused about that with the summer season starting.
Wondering what there is left for her to lift, unless they are just using her accommodation facilities?

I found it a couple of days ago but it is impossible to do fine panning and zooming with it. A single click on one control makes the camera jump a lot unlike the prior PTZ camera which now is not working which allowed very fine movements and even had preset locations you could select. The Concordia was preset #6.
Yes, it's difficult to manoeuvre around in small movements.
I couldn't get the previous 'PTZ' camera to load onto my PC so this one is still a better option, not seen CC for quite a few weeks.
I'm just wondering if the large structure I thought I saw on her bow may in fact be one of the floating sponsons being moved around between CC and the keyside that she's moored to, ie directly behind her, difficult to tell, if I zoom right in I miss that section. Either way the floating meccano crane is doing something with it as I type.
I am pleased to confirm that CC is still afloat at the moment, so Cheng can relax for now!!

New webcam! -
http://www.partridge.it/Axis%202400.htm
Lots of people fighting at the camera controls at the moment, so it's all over the place but got a couple of glimpses of CC, she appeared to have a large section of removed structure placed on top of her forward area.

Finally found time to post the underwater photos of the breaks in Concordia`s hull.
Thanks for posting Sidari, very interesting!
Also thanks to Luisrp for posting the screen shots using the new camera. Unfortunately I can't get the new camera to work on Google Chrome, tried many times to download the plug-in but nothing happens after that. Also found that the non-zoom camera Axis 211M has stopped responding using the left/right controls, so not seen CC for some time now.......
If you are able to post a couple of updated screen shots I'd be grateful!

(In fact the only camera I can see in action is the Partridge Nasa 2 live shot from the International Space Station, can't see CC from that though!)

Anyone else having trouble seeing the webcam :confused: Last two days only seeing blue screen no pic. I miss my webcam :confused::)
Having the same problem, blue screen with "camera image" logo at top, last 3 days.

Hoping this works Mike, they recommend you use Google Chrome or Firefox for it to work;

Lightman, you are correct, my mistake! Sponson S3 appears to be floating on it's own, I'd forgotten that S3 is in fact the horizontally positioned sponson which looks almost the equivalent of 3 vertical sponsons in a row.
Ken, sorry but afraid I don't know how to do screen photo on laptop.
They took a chunk out from straight above the blister tank yesterday, I'm guessing that now shows/represents the deck level they are cutting down to along the majority of CC's hull before moving her to dry dock?
-
Looking at the webcam, sponsons 2, 3 & 4 (counting from the bow) look to be floating at an angle/listing, as though they are not now supporting any of CC's weight.
Guessing they are now awaiting collection/removal?

This interesting link from gCaptain

Great link/pics Aplmac, thanks.
Ship Recycling also provided another update yesterday, includes a decent 3 minute video of the 'squelched' section being removed by the white meccano type crane recently:

Thanks for the photo link Sidari.
Ship Recycling also provided an update earlier this week:

Let me correct my previous post. It is not that S15 was lifted. Actually three of the four starboard tall sponsons (S1, S2 and S14) have been lowered. I just stumbled upon an image of the refloat and noticed that the tall sponsons were originally all the way to the bridge deck (8) but their tops are now at deck 5 level. Can't see the port side sponsons from the Axis214 webcam. May be the ship is sitting on those sponsons and not floating at all?
Just to complicate things further, it may be that they've cut the top sections of certain sponsons off. If you look at the following from around 1min 20secs there is a barge moored up to the other side of CC's pier/wall with what looks like sections of sponsons? (Could be completely wrong!):
-
Micoperi 30 lifted the last of the underwater platforms from the seabed at Giglio yesterday, a few more grout bags and anchor blocks still to be lifted to help complete the job of returning the seabed to it's original state:

In Genoa from what I can make out using the webcam they are nibbling away at 2 decks at a time from both CC's bow and stern towards her middle section.
Might be wrong but I think they have also detached one of the sponsons which looks to be floating/moored up between the tip of CC's bow and the keyside? Saw this yesterday, unfortunately there is a pier crane blocking the view today (Sunday)!

A good video on YouTube of CC, posted 2 weeks ago & taken presumably just before. It's in HD so you can pause it and get a clear picture of her:

Another large underwater platform now just out of the water, hanging from Micoperi 30's sheerleg crane over at Giglio Island. Not sure if this is the last one?

Platforms 3,4,5 & 6 now on barge ready to depart.
Platforms 1 & 2 still to be removed. 3 pictures;

Meanwhile in Giglio, M30 also removed the first of the underwater platforms Monday.

This is one time that it would be AWESOME to have some good webcams, or some type of pictures to show progress.
Not sure whether you are aware but there is a webcam in Genoa Port.
Clarity isn't brilliant but it updates every 2 seconds, you can move the camera up/down, left/right, zoom in/out using the controls underneath the picture (they are a bit slow to react!)
I have to use Google Chrome as opposed to standard Google for it to work.
Costa Concordia is over to the left hand side of the port.

Thanks for the links Lightman.

After 3 years Micoperi 61 (platform on 4 legs) finally leaves Giglio island (pics & video).
The islanders will understandably be happy!
