Have the drinks vouchers been confirmed now for all cruises or is it just Adventure?

Trying to decide whether it is worth cancelling our drinks package on Anthem next week

I have an Oasis cruise booked in November which will be our first diamond voyage. I too will cancel my drink package if it’s still a practice. I guess I’ll wait till it gets closer to the cruise before I do any cancelations.

This is a great thread. Thanks for the info.

  2. Hello all, I just booked the Eclipse in Alaska for the end of May ‘20. We are Emerald on Royal and Platinum on Carnival and now we are trying Celebrity for the first time. I booked a Concierge Cabin and wondering if I made a good choice. Are the benefits worth it? Are the cabins nicer that standard balconies? We usually book junior suites or suites on RCCL and CCL and I’m hoping we wont be disappointed.

Any Celebrity pointers will be appreciated. Traveling will be myself(56) wife, and 12 yo son. We originally had the NCL Bliss booked but couldn’t turn down this weekends deals.

    thanks in advance

  3. Thanks for all the responses. I just looked at my cruise planner for our November trip and noticed all the cabanas are sold out. Do they hold back cabanas at Barefoot beach for suite passengers to book on board? Am I just out of luck?

    thanks in advance

  4. Hi all,

I have 2 questions if I may ask. I did a search but could not find the answer.

Question 1) Does the deluxe drink package and soda package cover beverages on Labadee?

Question 2) Do Suite passengers have a reserved special part on the beach? B) are there loungers? C) cabanas?

    Thanks in advance

    Bon Voyage

  5. Rhuntinton3.

Thanks for the link, i got to the site. I guess you have to be within 30 days of sailing and I’m still farther out.

We are booked in a Grand suite on Adventure, I’m not sure how many upgrades will be available within 30 days of sailing but I will certainly keep an eye out for an email.

    Bony Voyage to all.

  6. I would highly recommend MSC. We are platinum Carnival and RCCL cruisers and we enjoyed an MSC European cruise this past year and loved it. MSC also does a status match so you get the equivalent status when you board MSC for the first time. Very nice perk. You cant even status match between CCL lines.

We have already booked another European MSC adventure for 2019.

    Bon Voyage

  7. Thanks Ken.

We are actually coming in 2 days early and staying at the airport hotel. I’m just trying to figure out what time iI need to go back to the airport to get on a transfer.

Has anyone done this transfer before? I’m hoping they didn’t just sell me a bus to the Rome Train station.

I guess I will find out in a couple of weeks unless someone here has done this transfer before.

    Bon Voyage

  8. Hello all,

We pre-purchased transfer from FCO to Chitevechia port for our upcoming Meraviglia cruise through MSC.

I have printed our e-tickets and all it says on the transfer page is to take “Bus N” with no time listed from terminal 3.

Has anyone done this recently and can you guide me on any information I may need to find this bus. After checking many web sites I do not think there is continuous bus service. Is this a charter? Is there a certain time it departs FCO? MSC rep did not know anything about Bus N and told me to just check at the airport when i land. Good thing we are flying in 2 days early.

I love forward to your wisdom.

    Thanks in advance

  9. You may want to check if MSC will or can let you board in another port as I believe you cant do that with Stateside cruise. They are considered close loop cruises and have only one port for embarkation and debarkation.

    Good luck with your trip.

  10. Hello all and thank you in advance for your answers.

We are seasoned US cruisers but haven't cruised or traveled abroad in quite some time.

We will be traveling on the Meraviglia in two months from Chitivechia. My question is about local $$. Am I better to convert my US dollars into Euros or use US dollars in ports?

If I need to convert where is the best place to convert? Before we leave the US or upon arrival into Italy? With that said, where will I get the best conversion rate?

What $$ do they use on board in the casino?

I will mostly use my Amex aboard for most shopping (all of my hotels and excursions are already paid in advance or on the card) but I usually cruise with some cash in my pocket for tips and smaller purchases. Suggestions please.

I look forward to your responses.

    Bon Voyage

  11. We just got back from a News Years cruise on the Liberty. We were asked our needs and I stated we wanted both. The steward made me feel uncomfortable about my request. He was probably the worst steward we have ever had while cruising. Ie: I asked him for additional luggage tags at the end of the cruise and he told me I had to go to guest services to get them. Luckily for him another steward was right there and had additional and gave them to me. If I had to go to guest services to get more tags, his supervisor would have had an earful about my service (lack of) and his tip certainly would have been adjusted. (I have always tipped extra at the beginning and end of each cruise but his attitude from the beginning lost him both).

    TIPS. To Insure Promp Service.

  12. We always use Park n Cruise in Pot Canaveral. Fast, efficient reasonable service both arrival and departure day.

Basically take you luggage from trunk to ship and reverse on the way home. Your car isn't waiting with the trunk open when you return.

We were off the ship and in the car driving home within 20 minutes.

  13. Hey all,

I just got off a wonderful New Years Cruise on the Liberty. I wanted to send a shout out for a great new Cruise Director “Cookie”. He is only 3 weeks new to the position and is doing a fantastic job. I have to say until this past cruise, a cruise director has never really impacted my feelings for a cruise except years ago with John Heald.

I think Carnival has a new superstar in the making. Watch out Matt! LOL

Thanks Cookie and Carnival for a great New Years Cruise.

    Bon Voyage

  14. We brought a small Christmas tree for the counter top. Battery powered lights for the tree and door (held up by sticky tack and wedging in ceiling panels). Also brought a window cling Christmas scene for the balcony window. I would venture to say we were pretty decorated.

Also brought ugly sweaters for contest and Chrismas hats.

Don't forget to bring gifts for under the tree. Makes a great surprise Christmas morning.

    Enjoy

    Bon Voyage
