We are flying into Heathrow from US, then out of Heathrow to Amsterdam for a Viking River Cruise.

I am hoping to keep the hotel as close to $150 as possible.  The first night we will be totally exhausted from traveling, the Day 2 - in the morning, we are going to do the Hop On Hop Off Bus; we thought this would be the best (when we have such a short time in London) and we fly out the next day.

Can anyone help with some info?  How far ahead can we book a hotel in London?

Can anyone tell me if they have been on the Holland America Oosterdam, and if they can give me an idea of the laundry prices?  All the other cruise ships we've been on always had a self service laundry.  I didn't want to pack a ton of clothes, as I have to fly from Florida to Seattle.
