  1. Have booked the Pride out of Baltimore for the 11-day (of course we're only 20 mins from the port :) ) and I figure it will be very cold out but after the 1st day or 2 the rest of the trip is in the Southern Caribbean so it will be warm warm warm - and it ends in San Juan so no back up the Atlantic in the cold weather.

  2. It depends on if the final payment date is passed and what rate you booked at. I know you said that you had paid in full BUT if the final payment date has not occurred yet then you can get a reduction and most of time they credit it back to the card you used to pay it off and sometimes they do an OBC for the difference.

Again this is ONLY if you have payed in full BUT the final payment date has not occurred yet.

  3. And you don't physically have to be there for the table assignment. The tables are assigned prior to departure and will be printed on your sail & sign card. As others have said - Please call your PVP and ask that all the bookings be 'linked' together so that you will be assigned the same table for dinner.

Also, when you get your sail & sign cards and IF you are all not at the same table go to the dining room and ask to have your table changed - they can sometimes do this but it's better to have it done ahead of time with the bookings 'linked'.

  4. When traveling under Military Rates a copy of the DD214 (honorable discharge) needs to be faxed within 72 hours of booking. If currently active in the military then Carnival will tell you what form of proof to send to them.

Some times Carnival runs specials that allow a veteran/active service person to book 'x' number of cabins for family and friends under the military rate. If you're asking if the veteran can book more than 1 cabin for his immediate family say, wife, kids - so they all don't have to stay in the same cabin then usually but not necessarily say 6 cabins 'cause a bunch of friends are coming.

I should add that the veteran/active member is usually required to be on the sailing unless you are a widow/widower of a service member and then you can book military rates with the DD214 from the deceased.

Not all sailings have military rates attached to them.

  5. You can by all means give them a quick call and ask what fare you booked under.

Otherwise, on your email from Carnival titled something like cabin confirmation down towards the bottom under the heading of ' guest notes' it will give you info about the fare you booked. The last time we booked military and under guest notes it talks about military rates, then we changed to fall/winter savings and it then talks about that on the next cabin confirmation, etc. each time we changed our fare code we recieved a new cabin confirmation email and it gave the rules for whatever rate we had booked at in that section.

Unfortunately, it does not show up online!

  6. Is it still the case that no matter where you purchase the wine package you receive some type of paper 'slips' for the wines and you can go to any bar to pick up a bottle of wine - in case I want to take back to the cabin?
