Ed the sailor man

Anyone aware if American Cruise line is extending its cancellation policy for cruises to Washington and Oregon?   Many cruise lines are doing this to allow passengers to monitor Coronavirus outbreak  rather than canceling.   Right now I would wait to cancel but if it approaches my cancellation date and they have not extended I feel I would have to Cancel.

Any input?

We are embarking in Vancouver on Aug 13 for a 10 day Princess cruise to Alaska. We are taking a cruise with a land excursion to Denali. Cruise stops at Juneau,Skagway,Whittier,Glacier bay, College Fjord, Ketchikan. There are included excursions in Denali and Fairbanks.

There are a host of excursions at each port many of which seem very expensive and seem to offer tours of sites I assumed we would see from the ship""

I am looking for some guidance as to excursions at the above ports. What is quality and what is Hokey? Should we book privately? Most ship excursions are overpriced and include crab or salmon dinners. These do not seem to be a good use of time.

I appreciate any advice you can offer.

I was told you could go custom for an additional 50 dollars a ticket but that does not guarantee you can pick a flight. For an additional 100 dollars per ticket you can fly into a different city. We would like to fly into Oslo a couple of days prior to reverse itinerary.

So total cost would be extra 150 per ticket. My concern is could we might only be allowed to pick multistep flights.

A Big downer since NON stops are available.
