Hi! I have been researching the two cruise lines and departure ports and I'm having a very hard time making a decision. One is on Princess and the other Celebrity. We are a couple in our early 50's and like both cruise lines. The price and itinerary are very similar. Is one port easier to get to? It seems like there is a lot more to do in Seward. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I don’t know if this helps. The last cruise I took the move up option was not available for me in Aqua Class but my friends I am OV and Balcony both out in for the move up and did not get.

We sailed out of San Juan in October. I felt like we had a bonus port the last day. It is beautiful and had a great time walking around the port and seeing the forts. Good luck!

We have been on the Summit 4 times and have done both itineraries and they are both fantastic. I have been to pretty much all the islands in the Carribean and think you will love this cruise. But, it is completely up to you! It’s a shame your itinerary has changed but I think you may be ok with the new Islands.

My kids love Celebrity Cruises. They have always made friends and they still talk to a good amount of kids. We started taking them when the older one was 8. We have been on other cruise lines with them but their favorite is Celebrity.

My cruise also went up about $300. Good luck!

We were on the Equinox in August and my son fell and cut himself. They gave him bandaids (they had all sizes). and extra bandaids to take back to the room. Perhaps, it was the employee that did not have knowledge or they changed the policy about the supplies. We were actually impressed that they had different sizes. Sorry about what happened she may have been new.

I think you will be very happy with the Veranda. Good luck!

I ended up going with the C1 because the balconies were the same size and I really didn’t need more space. I’m sure it will be great. Thank you for all the wonderful advice!

Hi! Thank you. The ones with the big balconies are not available. It would be ablout the same size as the C1 balcony. :( I do hear the room is larger then the C1. It would be a no brained if a corner one was available. Thank you. Enjoy

Same price looking for advice which one to book. My choices are the family aft Veranda not the corner one or a C1 on deck 8. I think I would like the extra points and the embarkation lunch. I did hear that the family veranadas are very nice size. Please help make my decision!

My friend is going on a Celebrity Cruise. I remember back in the day the ships used to sell cartons of cigarettes and individual packs. She is aware there is smoking only in designated areas but is looking to bring some home and was curious if anyone has noticed on a recent cruise if they were for sale and if so how are the prices. Thanks in advance!!!

thinfool We just got back from a whale watch with Harv and Marv in Juneau. It was spectacular (which is why I am a bit hesitant to book this one). If anyone is ever in Juneau its a must do.

Any updates with this tour?

Hoping they add some excursions for the 10-27 sailing. :)

Hi, just wondering what the OP ended up booking?
-
JY1962 Thank you for he wonderful advice. You were spot on there is 1-2 ships a day less for the one itinerary. I will be looking into the catamaran excursions in Barbados! Thank you.

Hi Ashland- We have a credit with Celebrity that will help us pay for the cruise. So I was only looking at the Summit. Aruba is supposed to be beautiful just not for us right now:(

Please help giving advice in picking an itinerary on the same ship leaving out of San Juan. I have read the boards, looked at excursions and read trip advisor. I just cant decide they look equally great! The excursions look about the same in what we would be interested in doing. I am an overthinker They are within $150 (#2 is slightly less expensive) of each other and it looks like the second one has more rooms available (potentially I could pay more if prices drop for an upgrade). I am booked on number one right now but I cant help to think about the second itinerary. :) Both cruises are about 90 days out! Thank you!! I appreciate any advice!
