  1. We accidently discovered that last year when we were assigned one when we had booked a 'guaranteed' catagory. There was a large table with 3 chairs and 2 loungers with lots of room to spare.

We are going again this summer because I was able to snag another of these rooms again.

I love the fact that it does not cost more than a regular JS.

For us, it is better than paying extra for a GS. We are diamond so get the cocktail hour anyway.

That's what I was hopeing for....I've only been on FREEDOM Class ships...and when I'm on them I ONLY Sail in an AFT Jr Suite for the HUGE Balcony....so glad to hear it is DEEP like the AFT ones on the FREEDOM Class....

  2. The past few cruises we have been booked in Grand Suites but I thought a GS on OASIS was too overpriced.

We opted for a Junior Suite (9642) October 10, 2010.

But, we are going to watch the reviews of the Oasis once it is sailing full or near full. Had some friends that were on it last week for two days and think the specialty restaurants and other venues are going to be full all the time. If you don't prebook could be a problem.

Anyway, we are (at this time) looking forward to enjoying our JS in October.

I was wondering how 9642 turned out.....I just booked this for 3-Night In October 2015...and the 7-Night right after that also....

  3. I just got off LIBERTY of the SEAS....was in a JR SUITE so had a Silver Sea Pass....and yes...I did notice that I got more attention to some things....especially in the bars...but then again I'm a good tipper...even purchasing the Drink Package anytime I ordered a beverage I gave a $1 tip....by the second day of the Cruise every bartender on the ship knew who I was I think....I hadn't even been to bars and when I walked up it was "Bud Light Mr. Downen"....was shocking...but VERY COOL. And the triple points was a bonus also...since I sailed alone in a JR SUITE.

  4. and triple if you cruise alone in a JR SUITE or Higher.....I just did a 5-nighter on LIBERTY and earned 15 points....yeeee haaaaa lol And when I presented my Silver Sea Pass....I was treated much differently than others....but then again I TIP very well also...and by the second day of the Cruise all the bartenders in all the bars knew who I was....when I hadn't even been there....lol Pays to be nice and generous!!!!

  5. WOW.....that is VERY VERY Disturbing....I like you book my cruises at least 18 months in advance....and as the owner of a Travel Agency WOULD NOT be very happy if I had booked a cabin and be moved to another cabin with no notice....I usually only travel in a JR SUITE...and was on LIBERTY of the SEAS solo last week....AFT 7712 The ship was sold out....so I'm guessing that I got lucky they did not do that to me....but then again there may be different criteria for JR SUITES vs. lower categories....I am for sure going to bring this to the attention of my BDM with Royal Caribbean to find out the factoring...since from now on I will ONLY be sailing in an AFT JR SUITE on the FREEDOM Class ships....there is just no other way to sail in my opinion. lol Please keep in touch...and I will let you know the outcome!!! Happy New Year....299 days till I'm on the ONE TIME ONLY 5-Night OASIS Cruise!!!

  6. I've never heard of being bumped out of a cabin that you booked and paid for....for what ever reason.....what cruise did this happen on....I'm going to research this...since I have 1400 booked with just the two of us....and am VERY CABIN Specific....and since I own a Travel Agency would love to know why they would BUMP someone out of something that they had paid for!!!! No matter how many people were in the cabin....

  7. Glad you posted some pics....I'm in 12598 on the ONE TIME ONLY 5-Night Halloween Cruise in October 2014....I'm not going to like the size of the stateroom since I usually only sail in a JR SUITE (Double Points..Triple if you sail single) but not willing to pay almost a $1000 more for it on OASIS....lol I have to disagree with ya on the balcony part though...lol I always book an AFT JR SUITE to get a HUGE Balcony...but on Oasis will have to settle for a HUMP since there are no AFT cabins...lol Little hint....if you have tipped VERY WELL the first day they will bring you chase loungers also. I just got off LIBERTY of the SEAS Saturday.....and WOW...the spanish and french people were HORRIFIC....cutting in line...being overly loud....just down right RUDE!!!!
