I have the same question as previous poster, regarding Blu on embarkation.

Also, was Beef fillet served the first night?

We just got off the Summit as well. Embarkation was a breeze and no more bus shuttle to ship. We ate lunch in the main dining room as BLU was not opened for lunch. The fillet was excellent. David the Blu manager was very social and alway lent a helping hand. We did have to wait a couple of evenings but it was not to long. Liked being on deck 11. Very quiet.

We had two beautiful days in Bermuda and the last day it rained in the afternoon. All in all, we have no complaints.

Just found out the cruise I booked, awhile ago, for my our multi-generational family is now going to be a NY Rangers Legend cruise. We have 3 children ages 3 - 13 and 4 adults in our group. No hockey fans in the group. Would like to hear from those of you who have been on this type of cruise, if this is going to be a problem.

We did this cruise with my family to celebrate my birthday last August. At the time of booking we did not know it was a Rangers Legends Cruise. My son was the only hockey fan, so he was excited. No interference whatsoever during this great Bermuda cruise. We met up with some of the players & they were enjoying the cruise as much as we were. Any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

We were just there 3 days ago. Rental for 2 loungers, table, umbrella was 50$ This is on the public side of the beach, no different actually. There is beach side beverage and food service. They come right to your spot on the beach. It was a lovely day there. Water is amazing.

We were at Elbow Beach in May & really enjoyed our stay at the beach. It wasn't very crowded. How crowded was the beach when you were there??

That's exactly what I was going to say they should wear. Black dockers work well.

How old are the grandkids? There's a big different between a 4 year old and a 14 year old.

Just off Summit cruise to Bermuda. We too found the entire experience to be excellent. Celebrity may have dispensed with the chocolates but they have certainly ramped up the food and service which was always very good but is now outstanding. MDR is so much better than two cruises ago. Excellent menu and preparation. The Oceanview Cafe has also improved. We loved the prepared small serving dishes. No one pawing through the food. Seems much more sanitary and the food is presented well. Just a note about the Main Dining Room, also known as Cosmopolitan: They did enforce the dress code every night. No shorts were allowed in the MDR. Two men in our party who were dressed nicely with collared shirts and Bermuda shorts were requested to change on two different nights. We also saw others being turned away. I like that they are enforcing the dress code as it is too confusing if they are not consistent. We really thought Bermuda shorts might be acceptable in Bermuda!:D

I also want to comment on the complimentary drink package which all of the adults in our group had. They loved it and found plenty of drinks they could choose from. They were abundantly served. There is no daily limit and of course juice and bottled water were included along with many special coffees.

This was the 1 2 3 Go package and was a good choice if you are a drinker.:cool:

The Summit is a nicely refurbished older ship which is really beautiful, with a great Captain who is very funny, a great and friendly crew, good food and a great destination in Bermuda. We will be back on her in the fall...love those Canada/New England cruises.

It was one of our best cruises because of all of the above but in addition we had with us our three children with their spouses and all seven of our grandchildren ages 14 to 27 who found this ship wonderful. It was their third cruise so they had something to compare it to.

My grandkids are joining us on the Bermuda cruise. Can they wear shorts in the dining room??

yes, we went to Horseshoe Bay!!! It was beautiful. You can rent chairs and umbrella's and they have beer, rum swizzles, food. Clean bathrooms and changing rooms. Lots of rocks to climb. While we were there the Longtails were there nesting and there must have been hundreds of them! The males have very long tails and they are beautiful. DH bought me the charm of the bird. WE took the #7 bus to Horseshoe Bay with Mr Tweed (the bus driver) full of information!

 

The Wild Cat is a yellow "speed" boat docked right at the Dockyards. You can book on board or you can book right at the pier. KS Watersports if I remember right is the name of the company. If you look that up on Facebook you can see the boat and some of the latest photos. They take you out to a shipwreck and then they feed the fish while you take photos. I will try and post some photos, never did that before so bear with me.

We are leaving on the Summit on Sunday for Bermuda. I just have a few questions for you. How were the sea days?? Were you able to sit around the pool?? I see you went to Horseshore Bay(which we love), was it warm enough to sit around. Any info would be helpful.

We were on the Summit in February and had traditional dining. Our husbands elected to wear a suit instead of a tux. We were surprised at how many men just wore slacks & a button down shirt.
