I think that's a good move as if the weather is good seating space can be quite limited up there. I would not loose any sleep over losing the forward sun deck as I have never used it on any cruise.
Thanks to limited space in the Sunset Bar it usually was nice and somewhat quiet. Also looking over the lawn to the sea was nice, mostly unused lawn space made the place feel airy. I’m a bit concerned that with the new design the bar will be busy and noisy. Sun shades are definitely welcome, but what I see from the renderings, the shades don’t seem to do their job very well.

Looks like the lawn on the Lawn Club will be gone. 😢

SHIP: Infinity
REVOLUTION: No
CABIN: 9137
DECK: 9
CLASS: A2 Aqua
AREA: ???
BED NEAR: bathroom
QUIET?: Ok, we heard some running noise from above (Oceanview Cafe), probably because it was holidays season and plenty of kids aboard running around.
BALCONY VIEW: overhang
BALCONY SIZE: normal
WIND A PROBLEM? no
SOOT A PROBLEM?: no
COMMENTS: We chose this location with overhang to get some shade from August Mediterranean sun (Aug 10-17, 2019 sailing) and this cabin was nicely between the huge bulky overhang parts of Oceanview Cafe. Perfectly shady and still not too much obstruction of the views. We were also pleasantly surprised, that the bathroom shower had glass doors, not the clingy shower curtain as we were expecting!

Any idea where this pic is? This does not look like Cadiz-- We were there about 2 weeks ago.
Pic is from Geiranger, Norway. So nothing to do with the current location of the ship.

Can you elaborate a little on this. Seems to be a pretty broad statement regarding the upgrades.
I have liked HAL's traditional style, although Celebrity's "modern luxury" is more my thing. I guess HAL wants to bring a little "Koningsdam" into older ships, but this is not working for me.
New atmosphere in Atrium and Crow's Nest is definitely "trendy, but to me also lacks fully comfort. Not a hint of the tradition and luxury left. Furniture seem uncomfortable. Crow's Nest has always been my favorite spot, can't imagine spending too much time there after these changes.

Just saw a video tour of these "enhancements". Atrium and Crow's Nest completely destroyed... New style reminds me of a ferry rather than a cruise ship.
