  1. Anyone have any recent experience flying their drone on Roatan?

We are stopping there on the Breeze in November and I just want to get some basic footage for our family vacation videos.  We are looking at taking a cab to a beach.

What’s the security process of getting off/on the ship in Roatan?   (Other than the regular Carnival screening)

    thanks!

  2. We booked the Segway tour through Carnival for our cruise in November.

I was hoping to fly my drone (DJI Spark) to get some basic beach footage and some high Aerial footage of the area for use in our family videos after the tour.  (Recreational use only)

I’ve read that the drone laws are similar to the US  so I’m wondering if anyone has an recently drone experience in Costa Maya or Mexico in general.

What is the Security  process when getting off and on the ship (besides the regular Carnival process)

    Thanks in advance.

  3. We’re stopping in Belize on the Carnival Belize the week of Thanksgiving.  Booked an excursion through Carinval and want to fly my drone on what looks like an amazing  little island because of the footage I might get.   I just make family vacation videos and don’t use the footage for commercial use.

What is the security process of getting on and OFF the ship in Belize while tendering?

I’ve read we get right on a boat and head straight to the island.  I know we go through the regular security process of boarding the ship after our visit but I’m wondering if there is a security checking getting off the ship?   My reason is for asking is that Belize has what appear to be strict guidelines to fly a drone.  But given the remoteness of Rendezvous Caye and not flying into an airport (visiting by cruise), I’m wondering if I could try to fly it for 10-15 minutes on the little island (after asking the island operators of course) to get my footage.

Does anyone have any recent experience flying a recreational drone in Belize?

    thanks!

  4. I've been searching websites for which companies asking you to refill the tank and which ones have you pay a gas fee. I emailed Karib this week and they said "You're given the cart with gas and you're expected to put about $5 gas before returning" but what I've read on CC says they ask for a gas fee. Are they referring to the $5 fee when you return instead of refilling?

Also, If I must refill the tank, how many stations are there?

Please post your experience with golf cart gas and the company you used.

    Thanks in advance!

  5. We'll be on the Carnival Fascination next week in an interior handicapped accessible room (E116). The room description says a trundle can be added for a 3rd person if needed (we have three people).

I've already posted this to the disabled cruising board but also posted here since its Carnival specific.

My question: Can a rollaway bed be used in these accessible rooms instead of a trundle? Also, is there sufficient walking room when all three beds are being used at night?

I'm 6'2" and would be the obvious choice to sleep on the trundle (since I'm the youngest) but a rollaway would make much more sense for me. My main concern is that my 93 year old grandmother have room to walk to the bathroom at night without having to climb over me in my trundle bed. (because she can barely walk at all)

Thanks in advance for your help :)
