I will be heading off to PNG on the Pacific Eden on the 10 of September 2016, stopping at Alatoa, Kitava, Kirrawina Island and the Conflict Islands. I am interested to know what tours, activities or items of interest, recent travelers to the area found interesting, good value or not worthwhile.
Thanks

We were on the Explorer, for the December 2 sailing to New Zealand, and the Royal Replenish was $22 US dollars purchased on board. Laundry Prices were per bag( approx 30 USD for a small bag) and ironing was per item. We didn't use the laundry service.

There is a short concrete stair way down to the waterline, from the observation platform at Jinek Bay, which leads to fairly shallow (waist deep water). There wasn't any exposed sand, but there is a shallow sandy section where kids could play in the water, or prepare their snorkeling gear. The water around the coral ranges in depth from about 1 - 3 meters.
Our 8 year old son who had only ever practiced snorkeling in a swimming pool prior, had no trouble snorkeling around the coral.

Can you have two single beds pushed together and a single bunk for a third person, or do they all have to be left as single beds. (Deluxe balcony class cabin) ?

WE did the swim with dolphin tour in the Bay of islands last year in December and enjoyed it immensely. It is important to be aware that if their are juvenile dolphins in the pod you wont be allowed to hop in the water to swim with them. ( Most pods have juveniles present )
