The "Upsell Fairy" just called. We are presently booked in 2473 on CCL Conquest and are happy with the extra large room even if we don't have a balcony.

Our "fairy" just offerer:

1. Regular balcony cabins with teeny tiny balconies. No thank you.

2. Ocean view suite (2nd largest on board) at a total of $525!

3. Grand Suite (largest on board) at a total of $875.

Would love to have taken advantage and several OVs and GSs are available, but we are staying where we are, would rather spend $$ on excursions. HOWEVER, if she calls back offering the same suites at a lower price, weeeelllllllll we might have to seriously consider it.

Just curious. The room looks amazing. For those that have had that room, do you feel alot of vibration?

We had cabin 2476 on our Splendor cruise in January. We had a sneaky peek at this and the 2472 and loved the extra room so much that we booked 2472 for our upcoming b2b on the Freedom. I'm not a good cruiser when it comes to seasickness but didn't find the motion a problem. It was actually quite a good alarm clock for docking! I don't think I would upgrade to anything else unless it was a really great offer!

I refused a free upgrade to a balcony from 2470 on Glory. And wouldn't accept anything less than an aft wrap to even consider moving (and it would have to be free which I know will never happen, but still). That's how much I love those rooms.

Not everyone feels the same as me saying the vibration/noise bothers them. You either love or hate the aft OVs. There's no in between. If you need it quiet to sleep, best avoid them. If you like some "shake rattle and roll" you'll be in heaven :)

We had one too... But we totally took advantage! We had booked an interior guarantee at a casino rate on a 7 day liberty. Super cheap since it was our second seven day this year. The Fairy called and offered us an upgrade to the ocean suite for 500 bucks... Ummm.. Yes please! Our suite for three was still cheaper than a balcony for 2. About the same price if we had gotten an oceanview for 3!

Oh and just in case you're wondering, my sister and her friend had 2473 and my mom and I had 2470. That's how I got the pics. This was on Glory. But I just had 2470 on Conquest in January and it is identical except for the pictures on the wall.

Nice cabin now i see why you stayed where you were.:)
