bbcstt Posted February 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2005 Have done the WILDCAT twice, it's great. They really try to make it fun and informative. The last time, the captain asked us if we all wanted to get really wet, of course we all said yes, so he headed for a rain squall he picked up. We all got soaked. Then he asked us if we all wanted to go through the worlds most powerful hairdryer. Sounded good so he pinned the throttles and we took off. When wegot back to the pier we all had Don King hairdoos if you know what I mean. lt was a very enjoyable time. Plan to do it for a third time in my June 8th trip to Bermuda. Swizzle v2.0 Posted February 28, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2005 The Wildcat might not be operating any more. They had to close down early last year due to engine trouble and weren't sure if they'd start up again in 2005. Be sure to call ahead when you land. Here is an Article from the local paper. Bonnie Voyager Posted March 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2005 I hope they are still operating in 2005 as I just paid for the Wildcat excursion via RCCL for our July 2005 cruise to Bermuda
Swizzle v2.0 Posted March 2, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2005 Well if I see the Wildcat in May I'll let you know.
Bonnie Voyager Posted March 2, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2005 I would think that Royal Caribbean would not be actively booking 2005 tours with Wildcat if they were not in operation. I just found the e-mail address for someone at Wildcat Adventure Tours and sent them an e-mail to find out for sure though. If I get a response, I will post the answer here. :) I hope they have been able to correct their problems and that all is well with Wildcat Adventure Tours! I am really looking forward to taking the tour!!!

Bonnie Voyager Posted March 8, 2005 #9 Share Posted March 8, 2005 I just received an e-mail from Michelle at Wildcat Adventures. Here's what she said... We are replacing our starboard engine and should be up and running, all being well, by mid-April.
Swizzle v2.0 Posted March 8, 2005 #10 Share Posted March 8, 2005 That's good to hear. Summer wouldn't be the same without it.
