cezovski Posted October 31, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2005 We will be sailing Princess in February. I wondered if anyone has used or knows if there is an Internet Cafe close to where the ship docks in these ports: Puerta Vallarta, Cabo and Matzalan. Also Catalina Island. About how much do they charge? What about the phone cards I have heard about--ones that you can call the U.S. at a reasonable price? Can you elaborate on those? MSN-Travelers Posted October 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2005 For PV - An internet cafe is located at the maritime terminal (cruise ship dock). It is located next door to the Organic Cafe. PV has an internet cafe just about every couple blocks. Average price is $3-4 US per hour. There is also internet service at the Krystal Resort. Cost is reported to be $3-5 US per half-hour. Mindy97 Posted November 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2005 Last time I was in PV there was an Internet Café in the flea market area right across from the port. The people there had VOIP phone service...you had to buy a 10-minute minimum chunk, for $5. You didn't have to use it all at once, and he had a cordless phone that you could take outside. Bob7 Posted November 18, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2005 The one at the PV dock is expensive, but if yer not going to town it's way cheaper than .75/min on the ship :-(( In PV there is one near MacDonald's on the boardwalk, forget the price, but it's cheaper on the street behind the boardwalk, about $2-3/hr., good fast connection. Patty is right about the Cabo one downtown, it was a good price too, about $2-3/hr. Everywhere it wasn't hard to find a place for $2/half hour except Maz, there is was something like $5/half hour downtown, maybe someone else found a cheaper one. MrsBoo Posted November 20, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2005 Usually it was easy to find places to call home, too - about .25 per minute - we were only charged for the actual minutes we used.
