Liquor Stores in San Pedro, CA

We will be staying at the Vagabond Inn in San Pedro and would like to buy beer before our cruise. Is there a liquor store nearby? Keep in mind that we will be walking and carrying a couple of cases so it can't be too far. We heard there was a liquor store across the way from the hotel, but it went out of business. Is this true? :(

Much of this type of information can be easily obtained by using Google Maps. Find your area, then enter the TYPE of business you are looking for after clicking on "Find Businesses" (ie, Liquor store) and you will see plenty. None are a close walk though, so you may want to take a cab.

Thanks Splinter. It appears, according to the address, that Scheffler Liquor is just across the way. Hope that's the case. Can anyone confirm this?

The beauty of California is that you can buy liquor in grocery stores and drug stores as well as regular liquor stores, and usually get a better price. There is a Rite Aid drugstore at 5th & Gaffey, three blocks from your hotel, that will probably fit the bill nicely. You might just ask when you check in, too.
