Sail Cayman Review - 2012

This will be a quickie - but the highlight of our trip was the day in Grand Cayman. I found Sail Cayman online while searching for an excursion around the island. I teamed up with another family & we booked the 34' Ocean Master (complete with bathroom & shady areas) several months out. Neil (the owner) was fantastic to deal with & we confirmed once more closer to the date. He recommended Carol at Sting Ray Cab company to get us to the Yacht club & back. She was fantastic to coordinate with & picked us up on time both ways in an air conditioned van/bus. There was 13 in our group - 8 adults & 5 kids. The trip advertised online included stingray city, star fish point & the mangroves, but we switched it up to stingray city, coral gardens, star fish point & rum point. We tendered @ 7 am in Grand Cayman & made it to the Blue Iguana in plenty of time for our 8:30 pick up. Our boat ride was 9 - 12:30 & included all of our stops, a cooler full of drinks & the awesome Captain Nick. Neil picked us up a case of beer as well & we paid Island price. Nick was very imformative & made us all feel very comfortable getting into the water with the rays! Here are some pics:

Hey there :)

Neil recommended Carol @ Stingray cab. Here's here details:

Carol Schrock

Stingray Cab & Tours

P.O. Box 221

Grand Cayman, KY1-1501

www.stingraycabandtours.com

www.kmannativetours.com

I booked with her via email. She sent a reservations. We were picked up outside the cruise port & driven to the yacht club. At the end of the excursion she picked us back up (she was ready & waiting) and drove us to Margaritaville outside the cruise port. For our group size (13) she quoted $6.00 USD pp round trip.

Hope this helps! Happy planning :)

Looks great, we just booked : )

Curious, what should we expect for cab costs (5 of us)? Also, did the yacht club seem to have cabs available on the way back, or did you think having a scheduled pick up was better?
