UK Cruiser2 Posted July 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2014 We will be off NCL Epic early (as late as they let us) but our flight from Barcelona isnt until 21:30. What can we do all day bearing in mind we will have luggage.
Rare Cloudyrain Posted July 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2014 NCL do a tour for people with late flights. There is also a company that will store your luggage for you based at the port terminal. There is plenty to do in Barcelona, it's just the luggage. Also, in our experience NCL want you off the ship no later than about 9am, but they have a coloured tag system so make sure you get the last disembarkation tag as soon as they are released as they can run out fast! rebeccalouiseagain Posted July 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) There are usually numerous flights from Barcelona- the UK. Shop around a bit or see if you can change your flight. At minimum a ship tour will run about $89 pp. I did a really nice one to Monserrat but it was done by 14:30 (we were dropped off at the airport). If you do an all-day tour with a company like Viator they may be able to store the luggage in the vehicle (but you'll have to find out for sure). Unless you are really interested in touring Barcelona and the environs- it may be cheaper to change or rebook a flight. There's a nonstop on Easy Jet Barcelona- Newcastle at 13:45 for $200 pp If non of those options work for you- think about getting the cheapest "day room" at a hotel. Sometimes they rent rooms for the day and if not- perhaps for a fee will store your bags for you. rebeccalouiseagain Posted July 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the info.I could only find one Easyjet flight to Newcastle on Sun.20th at 21:25 Oh it must be different on Sundays than on weekdays. If you are trying to save money- you could use the lockers and walk around the city or do the hop-on-hop-off (will run about 20 Euros each for the bus and 5 Euros each for lockers) Edited July 5, 2014 by rebeccalouiseagain
RollieUK Posted July 6, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 6, 2014 Another option is to use a company called DW Consigna. They take your luggage from you at the cruise terminal and you pick it up from them at the airport. You would then have all day, luggage free, to explore Barcelona. DW look a reliable company and are in the Official Barcelona Tourism website. At 10 Euro's per case its a good idea.
