Victoria Canada

I know this is not actually in Alaska but it was the last port of our Alaskan cruise.

We did not plan an excursion here. We walked into town from the ship dock which is quite a long walk. We walked Inner Harbor, walked to the parliament building and saw the Empress Hotel. Victoria is a beautiful place and we enjoyed walking the city.

Totally agree with you. We did a Rockies/Alaska Cruisetour in August and spent the night at the Empress. That whole area is very beautiful, and the Parliment building is lit up at night. Just an add on we eat at Nautical Nellies close by excellent food.

I would have loved to stay around the see the parliament at night but we were just exhausted and hungry and wanted to get back to our ship.
Same here! The ship's pier is far enough away that it's hard to get motivated to head out again after dinner. It would be great if you could rent a bicycle for an hour from the ship to ride into town. We would have done that for sure (unless the prices were outrageously expensive, which would not surprise me in Victoria… :()
